I think it is great news as a steelbook collector they are re releasing this with different art, I have the original and would definatley buy a new version, there is a lot of negativity on here and people are entitled to have there view but you don't have to buy it at the end of the day, yes retailers are now releasing so many films on steelbook because many of us buy them, it is a choice me make and I look forward to every new announcement,

I see your point but as Chip mentioned earlier Play.com use this practice with re-releasing Iron Man 1 & 2 and many more and received much praise from new collectors and old.

It's not the same - IM had never been released in the UK before, unlike Thor/CA.

plus Zavvi are probably a hair's width from re-(re)-releasing IM in some form anyway.

I really hope it isn't like that. It's the same image as the DVD release. I hate when steels look exactly the same as the amarays. Maybe just that image of Thor, kind of small and near the bottom of the back.

I don't own this or Captain America so I'm really pleased to see these announced although for me it does depend on artwork among other things.
I wouldn't get them just because...

I´m a bit confused about this relase and the other announced. Ok, it´s a different artwork (thank God) but as a collector it´s strange. I understand people that missed out on prior releases for human prices, but if it is like this fine....

If this is to please people that want a Thor steelbook, make a nice one for a great price and make a huge print run!

That's BS, it comes down to "a" collector not wanting others to own something that they view as valuable in any form no matter if its a different design or not. This happens EVERYTIME, I shouldn't be surprised by some of these reactions, I really shouldn't. But come the "F" on! It's not a re-release of the one YOU AND I OWN. you got to ask yourself why do you collect because if its for value I tell you what, you will have a much more ruder awakening than the DVD G1 Steelbook "Value Collectors" come the next format change. Please believe that.
