Sadly being 3D is not in the title, my best bet is that it will not be included in either this or Captain America. The originals didn't have them either

My German Captain America included the 3D disc, but not my UK Thor.

Guys. I just woke up. What a storm of posts. Lol!

At first I didn't know what to make of this news. Another re release? Bah!

But I think it is great actually. This Thor re release has a different artwork. This probably means that the original Thor's artwork will never be reprinted. How awesome is that? It makes the original Thor a true collectible - finally safe from future reprints. That rocks!

Sure the Thor re release will suck away some demand for the original Thor but you have to remember that overall, Thor n Marvel steel collectors are increasing all the time. So....I do expect demand for the original Thor to keep growing over time and on the flip side, new collectors will get a cost effective Thor re release in their collections. It is the best of both worlds and should satisfy most people.

I look forward to this Thor re release and have no doubt that its print run will be huge - 50,000 to 100,000. Everyone who wants one will be able to get a copy.

It is possible that some not so serious collector may sell their Thor true collectible and replace it with a common Thor re release....

As you can see, that did not happen when Zavvi issued Star Trek Zavvi. There are still very few Star Trek Plays available for sale and the asking price is higher than ever. I know because I am one of those hoping to pick up a cheap cheap Star Trek Play. Why would I want to pay a high price for that when there is a similar looking Star Trek Zavvi around?

Because it is RARE.....!

I'm really glad that I may finally get my hands on the steelbook version of this. Back when the HMV version came out, they didn't ship to Canada so I just gave up. This is probably my favourite movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (after Avengers maybe). Now if Zavvi could go ahead and release X-Men: First Class (my fav 2011 superhero flick) I would be beyond happy.

It's not live yet and probably it'll be a while yet before it does as the release date isn't until October the 28th

Just realized that the versions I have (both Thor & CA) are the 3D versions. I am confident that these new releases won't include a 3D disc - or even a DVD or digital copy. WIll probably be single disc editions .

i agree, prefer bonus disc over 3d disc, but don't worry your not going to get either from zavvi, but your still going to have to pay for them if you want this release
zavvi are really milking it now, cant wait for iron man re-release
