Love the movie poster look of this and Cap, but I really hope someone in the realms of Zavvi is part of this community and can have a word about the lazy back of this steel. No excuse for lazy ness. Plenty of people on here could pass a better mock up.

Folks you gotta remember, Zavvi is bound by having to use pre-exiting and pre-approved artwork for this and Capt Am. Getting aprroval on new artwork (esp fanart... like from ninjas on here) is probably a difficult thing to do.

In a perfect world, we could put up a poll, vote for the best, submit it to retailer, they hit print, and bam!

But the red tape makes it more complicated than that since we are dealing with copyrights and legalities.

I think its not so difficult.
Paramount have the rights on it, they can make a new artwork.
They make so many(ugly) new artworks for old movies.

Further here its not a new artwork, its a variation of it(no floating heads, no clouds).

Or they use the other artwork I posted some sites bevor(original and aproved).

And for the backartwork they can use the hammer from the HMV Steelbook.

On Iron Man they use the backartwork from Future Shop and on Iron Man 2 the backartwork from the Japan Steelbook.

Or they use some official movie stills for the back, so many other labels use stills.

I agree that perhaps there may be better options, but saying that this is "garbage" is being ridiculous. This is a nice picture on the front that represents the movie quite well. The faces are of characters that are all very prominent in the movie. They don't need to be there, but it's not awful that they are. I have the same exact artwork on my US slipcover and I have always thought it looked great.

I am actually suprised how good this looks with the ammaray cover, however the back art is actually awful

Still not anyway near as gooda as my hmv edition, but will still look nice

Thanks for the update Andy I'm definitely in. Brilliant artwork, and a fantastic release. Zavvi have done a proper job on this just flipping awesome. Well done Zavvi keep em coming I need more of this. Great to be adding this to my collection along with my HMVs.
