I don't own the original nor will I be buying this version. I cant' bring myself to settle for something second best when I know the HMV version smashes it compared to this.

This could be embossed to the hilt with a super gloss finish, however as the old saying goes, " you cant polish a turd"

IMO :D

You cant polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter, :D i quite like them both to be honest and have pre ordered both AND i have sealed HMV versions of both, i will judge them when there in hand and if Zavvi get exclusives on Thor 2 and the other future marvel releases they might just look good together. from me.

Looking at Blu-Devils picture without the floating heads, I actually like it a lot more. Is that just a photoshopped version or the amaray cover? Or is it the new steel front cover and the OP hasnt been updated...

Either way it looks miles better without the floating heads (a la Fifth element *shudders*)

Still not buying it though! :D

its just a mock up i did, the art in the op is the correct one:(

Yeah. The mock up is miles ahead of the actual artwork! Shame zavvi didn't use that, would've ordered in a heartbeat. As things stand, zavvi isn't getting my money on this release. Thank you Zavvi! :p

On the Sixth Sense steel, they change the artwork.
And with the change, ists alwys a different artwork.

The backartwork is a no-go and on the front something can inproved(uper border, floating heads).

In the Captain America steelbooktopic, I asked a similar question : now that Disney has finallly acquired the distribution rights to “Captain America: The First Avenger and” “Thor” from Paramount, don't you think this release will finally be cancelled in favour of a new blu-ray released by Disney?

I thought it said from this point on, all future releases (Thor: The Dark World onwards) would be the sole responsibility of Disney. Paramount would still honor all prior titles (except The Incredible Hulk) ongoing.

I read about it in this article called: "Disney Completes Purchase Of Marvel Home Entertainment Distribution Rights"
http://www.deadline.com/2013/07/disney-completes-all-marvel-home-distribution-rights-from-paramount/

They claim that all previous instalments will now be distributed by Disney (I quote "All of the home entertainment distribution rights previously held by Paramount for Marvel Studios’ Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger now revert to Disney effective June 30th.")

There is something a bit vague in the paragraph stating "Paramount will continue to honor and service existing distribution commitments. All other distribution activities will be transitioned to Disney over the next several months,”.
If I understand it well, Paramount will take care of current commitments, but in the forthcoming months, Disney will grab the films back. Since Thor & Captain America are scheduled for the end of October, that is to say in 4 months, I guess that Disney will have recovered all the Marvel Phase I titles (except The Incredible Hulk, which is Universal)
