Dude it's all about the GBs. I had to pick up 11 of the Spiderman steelbooks they had in store, and 6 of the Zero Dark Thirty (I got a lot of dirty looks for that one as it was so limited and only 2 other people got a copy each)

i can understand this but the GB's also hurt the locals. Us. the people that actually live in the country that it is getting released in. i'm all for group buys if these steel books were made online, but i know these usually just only go for in store purchases. i'm just happy i got to take one home.

Also hoarding only takes place maybe in 8-10 stores total. Best Buy has 500+ stores. How is it hurting locals? It would if we somehow managed to visit all these stores in the same day....which with today's technology is impossible, but maybe in the next 200 years will be doable. By then we may not have steelbooks any way.

I'm on the fence about this. I get what you're saying - we feel entitled to have access to what's in our backyard. But I know if the situation were reversed, I would want to know that there are some Ninjas overseas or in Canada helping out those of us who wouldn't have access to those great steels normally. I guess I just have to trust that everyone here buying in bulk is doing it for a good cause and helping out the community rather than scalping.

Amazing that hording is encouraged on this site.

Funny coming from you. ;)

But let's be serious, the folks I see posting about qty are doing this to help out members on the site and the group buy which has over 60 names on it
(and another 20 in GB #2).

A seller of your rep, I'm a bit surprised you've never offered to source items at cost for folks here.

Just saying. :movie:

And this discussion has gotten off track - if you'd like to talk about ebay, hoarding, and the rest, you can visit one of our other threads.

Thanks.

Personally, I am very excited to receive mine between March 4th and 14th! :scat: lol I am however sorry to say that I fuelled an eBAY scalper in the process... :emb: But in my own defense, I didn't pay what I consider to be "over the odds", in fact, I paid less than the GB on here... Plus, I haven't been through the nervous hassle of it all either, after the problems faced! I just went on eBAY, sorted by "buy it now" sort by cheapest first - checked packaging was satisfactory and clicked "buy it now" £30 delivered to UK - only £5 more than the UK version ( which I already have) I'll have that thank you!

Was hoping that some of these would go live soon. :(

I'm going to take this as a sign we may need more help with this one, so if you're interested in assisting and find a few extras at your local best buy, shoot me a pm please.

I think we have a lot of help, and thanks again to those that I have spoken to at length about this already, just better to be safe than sorry later.

Got 6 from my local BB. Yup I wiped them out. Only ones were the 6 on the stand.
