It worked out about £30 each shipped to the uk, but i did order 2 copies and used the cheapest shipping on kimchidvd, not to shabby when you compare it to the uk and european versions

It isn't a clear slip as I understand...

I'm guessing a transparent slip with Artwork...Front, back and spine...And sealed.

It is a looker :scat: I may whack in an order

I dunno the pic in the kimchi thread does look like what's being done here :dunno:

Does anyone know from which company it would be the cheapest to ship to Canada for this steelbook or are they all the same? Any difference with handling? Have never really ordered from Asia before.

Cheers!

I know cool slips are cool. I know. And this slip is cool.

But uh... the Best Buy version that had the title on the spine and the debossed title on the front was $22.99. Now, personally, I'll take that version over this one, and the weird thing is, this one is almost TWICE the price, and when you include shipping, it is most definitely more than twice the price.

I like this edition with that killer slip. Looks cool, but bottom line, at $41.99, it's $19 more than BB EEK!... so that means either Disney or the Korea retailers (or somebody?) is making really strong profit off every one of these.

The same could be said of the Kimchi exclusives, but at least with those you are getting a true 'package' deal. With this... it really is just a $1 slip. For real.

the non-exclusives are a bit pricey, but it depends on personal preference/location as to how the value works out.

I love title-less steels (as nice as the debossment of the BB version is) so having a printed title was no-go for me.
Plus, not everyone had access to get a BB version (rest of the world basically), so when you compare what equates to an extra £7(non exl)-£12(exl) for the korean versions vs the £25 Zavvi version(for myself/UK'er's...I'm unsure how much it works out for other countries), the extras, plus delivery, dont cost that much more by comparison, and become much more justified.
Then compare the $23 BB steel, plus what, $10-$15 p&p to get it from US to UK, and your pushing up to the Korean prices as is, so for some its a case of 'if am gonna have to pay that much, why not pay a little more and get all the extras?'

Plus, location, cost of obtaining certain versions etc aside, there were only so many clear slips made, so $1 slip or not, its collectable in its own right.

End of the day, it comes down to what artwork you like. I prefer the lenticular artwork and title-less steels so opted for the Kimichi exclusive. Next would have been the non exclusive, then Zavvi's, the BB's (though I wouldnt mind a BB version to utilise my spare clear slip when the lenticular version arrives, mainly for the additional formats than the title being ON the steel)

right bud, but the real point to my post was that... collectibility aside, there is a big profit margin going on with this Korean non exclusive that just isn't there with the BB version. If BB can sell theirs for $22.99, then Korea could surely sell this for no more than $27.99 or heck even $29.99. But $41.99 to me = :wtf:

no one's forced to give them any profit, big or otherwise, and this will sell out.

these prices will seem cheap in a year. ;)

The problem is that you are comparing prices in different markets. Let's take the UK version. It is basically $40 as well. The price of the Korean version is in line with other releases exclusive or not. US and Canadian versions were cheap initially. Let's not forget that the $22.99 was promotional pricing. Regular price jumped up to $29.99 after 5 days
