Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like this artwork! I really liked the concept art that was on the pre-order page... Thinking if everyone cancelled their pre-order then they would be more inclined to change it / pay attention to a petition!?! :ugh:

Check out Frozen spine on Zavvi. Same again, no title. This is getting annoying now.

Their last title-less spine didn't do so great (Monsters University) so why continue? And YES, it IS Zavvi's fault. They chose to take it as an exclusive. So even though Disney have a big say, so do Zavvi. They can easily tell Disney, no thanks.

FYI-there's no 'easily' saying 'no thanks' to a powerhouse like Disney-it puts any retailer at possible risk of not being able to secure other exclusives. Just something to keep in mind.....

True, however Zavvi have the right to say "that is f**k ugly. I am not selling that as an exclusive".

Disney may act all high and mighty and go elsewhere but would probably be told the same elsewhere.

I'm not saying Zavvi should cancel with them. They should stand up for themselves as well as the consumer and tell Disney to sack the designer and give them something nice.

Barry-the battle over art, and its details has been occurring for years. I am not in their meetings, and cannot comment any further as to who is standing up for who. But the owners of the property have the final say.

I can understand how some are upset about the lack of titles, because there is a tendency to want 'sets' and 'matching' things, especially for collectors. I've passed up Steels and other Limited eds over the years, because I didn't like 'changes', etc. I prefer to withold my final judgment until more details are available. It's only Jan. As we've seen time and time again, that is a long time in the land of Limited Editions (release date is months away). My order will remain for now, because I've heard good things about the movie, and I like the color scheme a lot. But that is me.

If in fact the art will be the same sans partial slip (and I am stating for the record, that I have no first hand knowledge whether it will be, or will not be that way), then many people will choose based on price, import costs, and or/slip, if that's a consideration.

I can tell you that I know for a fact that several of the retailers that have released 'exclusives' over the years, and HDN Staff have gone to bat big time for our community. Sometimes changes can be made. And sometimes they cannot be, because it is what it is. We don't even know what the final Steel will look like, here.

We have no additional info to post at this time, but as usual, each collector has to decide for themselves if a Steel works or not. Just saying, sometimes it's good to dial down the panic, just a little bit.

You can also write to any retailer directly and let them know how you feel. Whether they can take that into consideration all depends on many factors. But, the option does exist.

Lets keep it fun and respectful in here, guys.....

I am always fun and respectful to everyone here. I just don't like the art. I won't go complaining to retailers about it. If it stays this way, I simply won't buy it. But by saying in the forums I don't like it, as well as most people, things could potentially change. You never know.

I have also lost out on steelbooks and limited editions in the past too due to their ugliness, but I move on after my outbursts. Not to you guys. To the designers of this atrocity.
