spot on, 3d should be seen at the cinema and even then the appeal seems to wear off after about 10 minutes

Everyone has a differnt opinion. I prefer the 3d on the box. I love 3d and hate having to double dip for it. I love steelbooks and am forced to doubledip to get that and 3d sometimes. I think the steelbook should be the definitive version of a movie and include all discs that are in any other current version.

To the people wanting a 2D steelbook at a cheaper price - how much cheaper do you think it would actually be? Jungle Book and Little Mermaid didn't have 3D yet they were £22.99 (not counting any discount codes). Iron Man 3 UK version also didn't come with 3D and cost £1 more than they did. Even at this price you could always sell the 3D disc to someone who wants it for a fiver and you'd still have a better deal than with previous Disney steels.

Following the minimal art of Iron Man 3, Id like to see the phase 2 steels match rather than try to fit in with the phase 1 releases, so some kind of close up of Thors hammer for Thor 2, (I would have said a similar 'chest' pic but Thors outfit hasnt really got a distinctive logo, so Im thinking the Arc is Iron mans weapon, the hammer is for Thor.. ) Captain America 2 could have a similar to Iron man 3 chest pic of the new suit..or some kind of shield pic for his weapon (I realise Cap America steel had the shield on it as the main focus but its only an idea)

Either way I hope they do something nice and not floaty heads or something too busy...keep it simple and classy!

As for this release, 3D I can take or leave..Id rather leave it but its that or nothing, the price? well depending on the art..if its an Iron Man 3 situation I could very well be looking elsewhere for a copy from elsewhere, but it will be a steel from somewhere, Ive commited myself to Avengers steels now...cant go back to amarays! :ohno:

£25 what a rip off the original was £19.99 from HMV when they had the exclusive. sick of these prices at zavvi.

I'm one of the last people to jump to Zavvi's defence, but an extra fiver for the 3D sounds fair enough to me, especially when you consider IM3 was a pound cheaper for just the single 2D disc (though I've prefer DC, and possibly even DVD to still be included personally but Disney UK are notoriously cheap)

hate to admit it, but depending on the Asian steel's/release dates, I may cave and actually pre-order with Zavvi again (even though I almost swore I wouldnt...*sigh*)

Good to see 3D version included  - i bet zavvi lost a ton of IM3 sales to Italy because they left 3D out, so great to see zavvi learnin on this particular issue at least

we can HOPE that what they are doing

the slight decrease in Disney steel prices might also be them learning to quit being so greedy unless they want to be left with tons of stock a'la TJB/TLM

true but many will be adding this as part of the MCU steel collection regardless of how good or bad the movie is.

Its probably the same reasoning behind many of the Disney and Pixar 'collections'. Completest's will want full 'sets', myself included.

I CANT WAIT FOR THIS TO GO LIVE! Im going to the midnight premiere of the movie on Tuesday and I cant wait to add this to my Marvel steelbook collection! I hope Zavvi release Iron Man 1 & 2 and an Avengers rerelease soon aswell! :D
