Order cancelled

Oh yeah-im not blaming Zavvi. Just saying that for us enthusiasts we're always going to go for the best version available. Just a shame that its not the UK version.

Yh same as me.

I actually preordered Zavvi iron man 3 midnight when it first went live as I thought it was WEA but changed to Taiwan when it appeared to be best release. I'm glad I did as Taiwan slip is so awesome. Same with now futureshop release with debossed title :scat:

I aint to fussed for the artwork to be honest, although I would've preferred a different rear art. I just can't wait to see this again as I have forgot a good bit of it :D

I prefer stayin in UK or EU 4 my steels tbh.... importin from NA usually runs me <£50 after fees, tips and so on .... i was happy to do it for WEA art and extra discs for somthing like BB Amazing Spiderman

....but for just gloss ? or a title ? dunno..... man, dunno :movie:

for those wanting a version with the title on the front and spine its has been confirmed on the candian futureshop release with group buys open on it now i suggest those that do go and have a read now, i for one am switching over to that version but think it will be a very busy release for those that want it.

have a read make your own minds up

2 group buys are at top of that thread for those that are intrested, i hope is of help to those that did not know.

all the best basil  :oohyeah: :scat:

I didn't know about FS Steelbook, thanks

I think its obvious why this doesn't have a title or a spine title. Europe and other continents have many different languages and it's cheaper to produce different language j-cards that it is to produce different language steelbook covers :-(
Britain suffers simply because it in Europe (Even though we share the same language as the USA and 90% of Canada .
I would also consider the possibility that this problem might be part of European trading regulations.

There is no EU Directive crikey don't give them another crazy idea to come up with
Some EU Office person reading all this thinking I have an idea :hilarious:

There should be no reason for not putting a title on a steelbook
The Jcard is for putting and using different languages text with English Titled Films and that's fine
Having a lot of Steelbooks with no title on the spine on a shelf would be crazy

Disney Europe/UK
They will have noticed this reaction to having no Title been used on a steelbook and lets hope they see reason
I'm considering cancelling Zavvi order and going with the Future Shop version
I just want to see some Future Shop version photos its been mentioned there getting some ready to show us

When I see the Future Shop photos the Zavvi cancel button may well be used
even if this means spending about €8 to €10 extra
Debossed title on the front of the steelbook & spine with title
This is big difference for some basic important detail

I wonder if Zavvi got enough Power to actually get also embossed title on front and spine if the group of people who would buy this would be large enough ?

I blame EU for a few silly directives, but I just don't see how this could've anything to do with EU ;)

I'm not saying the EU are deliberately stopping English language steelbooks,I'm just thinking that they might have trading regulations that mean that Britain might have to have a European sourced item, when there is a worldwide release.

Stranger things have happened with the EU,it's not just the obvious things that they meddle with. It's just a theory.

Hi

Since the Steelbook Thor 2 is characterized by Future Shop, I suppose, since they are identical worldwide, even as Thor 1 they will be marked Worldwide?!
Wen anyone has any current info about it and it would be here posting awesome.

I refuse to believe that the FS version will be any different to the Zavvi version

You might have a point. I remember last year Zavvi couldn't even confirm if Iron Man 3 UK would be embossed. And it was.

Has there ever been two different Disney Steelbooks of the same film before?? Tron Legacy?? (Dutch)

Yes, but Zavvi haven't confirmed anything. Or have they? Is it possible their titleless stock images could change?

The art for zavvi on was confirmed from marvels own twitter feed i think if you go back thru this thread and was confirmed as final art and therefor will not change!

question people need to ask is would you be happy with the zavvi version as it stands currently? and also if a better FS release comes out would you be pissed not owning that one instead just as a thought for a few extra quid?

hoping zavvi one will change is at best optimistic i personally think but thats just me.

i would love to be proved wrong but don't see it on this occasion.

basil

If there are two versions (Zavvi totally clean and FS debossed title) then personally I'll want both

Just hope I can still get on the GB for the FS version come the 25th if it is indeed different
