At worst, they will stop the steelbook format and we complain of not having more.

I'd rather have no steelbook than a terrible one.

No-one is disputing your right to buy, or our right not to, but it is worth reiterating for those worried about certain trends in steelbook design; who may currently be on the fence, or arguing with their own better judgement, that buying this steelbook is the clearest possible method of telling Zavvi and Disney UK (and by extension other retailers and studios) that you are happy with this product. If you truly are, then buy it; but if you're not, please... think carefully.

I can already hear those who do not buy and will seek, when it will be sold out on ebay not too expensive edition.

This won't sell out, it's not a limited run, just a worldwide mass market release. I'm sure many of those who cancelled might come back and pick this up when it drops in price "which it will" and probably within the first month after it's release. With the amount of cancellations this has had on a marketing level Zavvi have basically no choice but to drop the price fairly quickly. Many who refused the ridiculous £25 tag might be happy with £15 - £17 and they need to make a profit as Disney will have charged them a premium rate to get these in the first place. The quality of product is poor for the price and both Zavvi/Marvel are advertising this anywhere they can. I've never seen so many adverts across the net for a steelbook "IE it's REALLY not selling well"

As Ricker mentioned, we like to keep discussions on-topic relevant to the particular thread and forum. If the discussion gets off on a tangent, please initiate the move to the proper sub-forum or create another thread to continue the discussion. The better organized we are, the faster information gets out to the right people in a timely fashion.

Thank you for your cooperation and continued participation in making HDN the world's destination for movie lovers and collectors.

Idea to please fans:

Hear me out, a transparent slipcover with the Title on the Front and spine...and maybe the ratings/other info on the back. That way you can have the Titles when shelved and displayed, you can take it out and appreciate the art on its own, and you have a minimalistic protective sleeve. This would be a pretty cost-effective and practical remedy.
