Looks like this has been left out in the rain for the matte coat to dry...

Just reminds you how totally Awesome the HMV version is and what a superb finish it has....

Double spine slash on mine too (under cellophane like it had been done then re-wrapped). Damn you Zavvi!!

If it was under the cellophane it was probably done at the place/factory where they put the discs in and put the slip around the steel. This wouldn't be Zavvi's fault as it was probably shipped like this to them. However, their QC should have picked this up before dispatch and not sent it out.

Yup. The phantom spine slasher of old Zavvi . com has struck yet again. He got my monsters inc, and now he's got my Thor. HDN did say that new measures were in place but I've seen a couple now on here with spine slashes and some poor soul got a double spine slash. Looks like HDN will have to put zavvi / scanavo on a training course again.

Mine's arrived with a big spine slash across the bottom of Thor's picture.

Although to be honest, this steelbook is a pile of crap anyway. Seriously, it's horrible.

Looks like the problem has definitely returned. Things went well for a long time.

Its not the best finish is it.

Everything about it is bloody awful. The inside is OK but the rest is just shocking. Crap finish, crap design, just a complete waste of space. Honestly, I'm really annoyed with it.

Half tempted to keep the spine slashed version because it's more interesting than the other 99% of this rubbish.

It certainly looks colour bumped. Reds are a lot brighter. Something which a gloss or an extra layer of paint would do, or the lighting.

Should get the Taiwan release in a week to compare but hopefully some more members will show their Taiwan release to be certain.

Looked at the TW pictures again, and the colours have definitely been altered. Especially Thor's Cape way too much red...I think the steel will be identical to the Zavvi one...

Only keeping it sealed with that awesome slip can save it...

What a serious pile of junk! and after all those cancellations Zavvi STILL sent out ones with spine slashes!

I might pick this up when it goes to £5, It's certainly not worth more than that. One of the worse matte finishes have ever seen.

I hope to god the BB/FS ones have a better finish!
