Zavvi replied to my replacement request due to the spine slash.

They offered me a £5 partial refund.

Go **** yourself Zavvi.
The problem is they're getting complacent they've tapped into a market selling steelbooks & all they see are pound signs. They think we are stupid enough to accept partial refunds it's disgusting once they've got your money they don't care.

Honestly, I find it pretty insulting that Zavvi offer a £5 partial refund instead of sending out a replacement. They don't seem to understand the point of steelbooks. Steelbooks are collectors items not bog-standard easily replaceable amaray cases. A £5 refund isn't going to make that dent magically disappear or benefit the collector in any way shape of form, it will award your wallet with an extra £5 in it and to do what with exactly? I'll tell you what, to go back to Zavvi and buy another dented steelbook. It's an endless cycle.

What does providing pictures do? Are they really trying to question collectors on the condition of a product that was said to be damaged? And what if the damage is insignificant in their mindset will they tell you "no replacement for you, bugger off"? What difference does it make? If a collector says it's damaged, it's damaged end of story!

Okay, rant over. Sorry Zavvi, I like you, I really do. It's just sometimes it gets too much :D

People overreact there CS there ideas of the %10 of your order is up to them. They dont have to,thats if you want to keep and accept there offer. If you decline then they will give you the return details and a stamp for free delivery, every company isn't amazon. Why should they give you free stuff? Return it and you'll get another.

No ones asking for free stuff they just want an undamaged item that they've paid for & to be able to return an item without a Spanish Inquisition.

I really dislike that they put up this "TBA" artwork so far back on things. You get attached to that image and grow to really like it and then they go, "Bam!" Here's some sh@t with no title. But I do want every Marvel Steel and I couldn't cancel this because of that once one item leaves you must honor the rest of your order thing they do.

Slashed spines have never really bothered me... I didn't even notice some of my steels had them until folks kept complaining about it. I'd be more than happy with a £5 refund! Obviously you should just return it if you're still unhappy though.

Kind of wishing I'd kept my pre-order with the discount code applied now... I really enjoyed this film, and the steelbook doesn't look half bad in hand imo. Hurry up price drop!

You got a new release film one working day ahead of its actual release date. Cry me a river.

I agree, I've ordered the amaray on Amazon and it hasn't been dispatched yet I wanted it to be here for Saturday to watch.

That's one of the good things about Zavvi.

Saying that I should of known better and ordered the amaray from Zavvi. :hilarious:

Just received it this morning.
I must admit it's not half as bad as I thought it would be in person. Not the finest steelbook around, but I prefer it to Zavvi's steelbook for the first Thor.

I actually like this steelbook, a lot better than I thought, the no title on the front doesn't bother me but no Title spine does! But I'll just make my one spine with a title. Also received it spine slash free!

you may want to quote the sales of goods act 1979-goods must be received fit for their intended purpose without damage or fault unless agreed with the buyer-if not item must be replaced to the satisfaction of the buying party or refunded-I voted with my feet & my wallet as zavvi are anything but hassle free...
