I received mine today. I cannot believe they split the 3D movie onto 2 discs. I feel like I'm back in the 80s with my laserdisc player.

So you prefer a bad image quality and a simple DD 5.1 no HD sound on 1 disc ?
:)

I like the steelbook but not the back art, the front of the MM edition and the back of the french will be better :D

Now I regret... can't believe we're stucked with this ugly back again... This ain't my style to be this angry on a steel, but let's be honest, I was expecting SO MUCH better than that...

in my opinion its much better then french one.
French- better back
German-much better front, inside artwork, magnetic sticker

the way I see it its like Renault vs Audi

looking forward to sitting down and watching this over christmas

haven't watched it since the Laserdisc came out

i got this one yesterday! i must confess i have mixed feelings on this and the French one, it's like a shared love lol....love the front, hate the back and viceversa with the French one, i may just keep both lol

Finally got to take a look at this yesterday when it arrived at my house (been away at school) and i have to say they did an excellent job on this one! (that is except for the printed back!)

i tried to mix the front of this one and the back of the French, and they don't go together, the difference in the colors made it ugly, so i put it back the original way and i like the way it is,,,,

POST PICS first!!! :D
I was thinking about doing the same thing once I get my hands on the German version, I only have the French version right now.

but evey one is unique in its on way! i like both

I noticed on the back of the steelbook it lists the aspect ratios. Do they really crop the 3D version down to 1.78:1? That would suck!

I was ready to go hunting for this but not if the aspect ratio is compromised...

EDIT: Nevermind. I just saw that Cameron opened up the top and bottom of the frame for the 3D release, not cropping the sides. Kinda like the IMAX experience of Transformers 2 and The Dark Knight, but throughout the entire movie. Steelbook hunting resumed...
