Yeah don't think that's matched with the Dutch or French release, thats more likely the original US Amaray version?

Edit: in fact having looked the old screen is from the original US release which was bad and nothing like the Dutch rerelease transfer.

Oops, I think Studio Canal release is use same transfer as US. My mistake
(US: MPEG-2 / Studio Canal: MPEG4 AVC)

dont worry bout it fella. just have a look at the dutch release in steelbook if you get the chance.

I can only think that the slighlty larger backing cards on this steelbook and others such as Drive act as a sort of limited protection. That is the only reason I can think most arrive undamaged.

And what looks like tiny paint chips at the top of the steelbook is actually part of the artwork? I hope?

Received mine today and it arrived again in a crappy brown Jiffy envelope! Still it did arrive in mint condition, so I'm happy about that :0) I just wish they would upgrade the steelbook packaging, as my luck can't last forever!

It would be hard to notice little paint chips as there are lots of little stars all over the front and spine that look like paint chips anyway

mine turned up today and it was wrapped in a plastic bag, HMV need to sought it out what was wrong with the box?

When I arrive home and SAW plastic bag! With steelbook! I knew it was damages! I piss off with hmv.com I paid 16 pound for steelbook and open realise it is perfect mint it is impossible mint should easy damage hmv need stop use plastic bag!

I have only have HMV exclusive pre ordered atm, (hunger games and avengers)

Might order them abroad now though if this is what HMV offer us!

Well I've just watched the director approved UK version and then switched straught to my Dutch Steelbook version and the Dutch transfer is definitely better. So I don't quite no what the director was looking at.

At last someone else agrees with me. New transfer a joke

Just seen your message on HMV's Facebook page mate... gutted for you.

Here's a picture of someone elses who also posted on their wall...

Thankfully I've been lucky enough not to receive any damaged steels from them yet, but I hate not knowing whether they will arrive mint or not... we shouldn't have to worry about things like this with every single order.

I'll only be ordering exclusives from HMV from now on, even if it means me paying a few extra quid, at least I know retailers like Play actually care about their customers and bother to pack items accordingly!

wouldent say a joke personaly it wasnt that bad but aint great either. but not a patch on the dutch release. carnt understand why they havent cleaned any of the specs of dirt etc on the film. the dutch has been cleaned but not DNr'd very strange.
