It is straight up false and I'm returning it can't stand the thing silver is just the worst ever colour to be used on steelbook even made worst when it is part of a series and the others are in colour looks so stacky steelbooks are going down hill majority of the steelbooks lately are just terrible mainly from zavvi anyway when is the last time they done a decent steelbook and this the last time from now on I'll be patient and wait for it to be release and not be taken for a mug.

...And breathe :)

Few weeks ago I've decided to let these ones go so I cancelled the trilogy and I'll be waiting for a price drop on the rest of Pixars steels ;)

Nice photos!
It looks good but not as I thought it would be.

So glad I only paid £9 for the German version. It's glossy ;)

I really like the front artwork on the German versions but the lack of inside artwork and printed backs are a real let down. I thought these would be awesome and I could upgrade, but i'm not sure these are much of an upgrade at the current price :(

Admittedly they could be better, but the front of these are most important and for the price they were well worth it. If the current wave go down to £10 each then I'll upgrade them, but until then, I'm happy :)

Honestly, I think this might actually be my favourite out of the three. Then again, my expectations were met, as I wasn't really expecting it to be white... learnt that lesson a long time ago.

Still too busy to take shots of Xmas haul but took some of the Disney / Pixar range came today.

Going to add natural light shots to photos this year as well as the light intensity photos that I usually take which show up embossed work and streaky finishes.

I hope you enjoy them and I'll continue. :)

These steels arent too bad but again a missed opportunity with the gloss. The poor matte streaky finish isnt good enough for these titles.

The German versions are much nicer.
There seems to be no consistency with the UK releases. Random embossing, random characters on the spines, two backs the same style but one different, embossed borders not really framing anything.
Having said that neither design is incredible as the German version has the printed back and no inside artwork.

i think all the toy story steel books are not that bad. i prefer this than those ironpack. Only i don't like those slip but i don't care. I just throw them anyway and well done zavvi:scat:

I hope you weren't joking. The German Steels look terrible.

I got the shock of my life when I went to try and fix a couple dents in my copy of Tron, only to find the interior was full on glossy. If only there was some way to successfully turn a steelbook inside out :D.

i have toy story 1 and 2 in the german steel. just got toy story 3 from zavvi.

the german art for the steels are infinitely better. i thought the zavvi steels would just be flat (not embossed). i also thought they would be glossy. zavvi really need to step their game up in regards to giving customers these details. as what you get, is often completely different to what you expected.

i also think scanavo need to work on a way to emboss the steels without the awful border. there has to be a way. if we can land a man on the moon, we can emboss metal without a frame. its particularly bad in these toy story steels as the border doesnt frame the art, the embossed frame makes it look horrible and cluttered.
