Holy CruDD , didnt realise these were fetching as much as that EEK!

Beware fakes, the hong kong edition lenticular slip actually has steelbook specific wording on it - the USA lenticular slip does not.

An important point to keep track of if someone combined the lenticular slip + a version of the steel and tried to pass it off as the HK one.

Wouldn't this Hong Kong version have the slipcover sealed inside the shrink
wrap ???

Sure, but one can reshrink it, no probs. i won't get into how to do that.

Point being, a member here approached me about an item up for auction a couple months back.

We figured out the fake based on the clue I mention above.

Also, note...HK lenticular slip (no blu banner) is different than the USA amaray lenticular slip (has blu banner on top).

How many would open this and just keep it for themselves to enjoy?

I open everything in my personal collection.why in the world would you keep something sealed and deprive yourself of completely savoring and appreciating the beauty of these precious metal cases.the thought of keeping something very valuable in your life, whether it would be a car, wife, etc lol sealed or wrapped is crazy....stop and smell the roses.enjoy life.i use to have a friend in high school and when we visited his house, they kept all of their furniture covered in plastic.we all looked at each other and thought...what the hell?yes they would stay clean but how about enjoying what you've spent your money on. if you're keeping it sealed for resale, then thats different.just think about it for a second...which would you enjoy more,a sealed steelbook or an open fresh, mint steel? i think the answer is obvious :scat:

You mean these seller paste the sticker there and pass of as Hong Kong one ?
That's pro man.
Of the Hong Kong version having 2 version of it ? I remember mine is without the blue banner. Not sure if the second batch non-lenticular slip is with the blue banner or not.

I don't think they have 2 versions, actually the first lot has lenticular card over the regular slipcover, if you remove the lenticular card, you'd get the regular slipcover with blue banner (like Steelbookedup's photos)... and I didn't see any lenticular version at all lately in HK (except used shops)
