I could care less about the value. I am only upset that Zavvi is using the same art as the FS one. If I knew this in advance, I would never have bought FS version a few months ago. I wanted to complete my Transformers collection and the FS version was clearly the best choice before this re-release. I think I am more upset about having to spend big bucks to complete my collection instead of waiting for a release like this which is a hell of a lot cheaper.

The Future Shop edition has an amazing finish that unless you have seen it in person you wouldn't appreciate from pics. As a Transformers fan I'm happy and will still pursue both!

Both version got their merits and disadvantages. I will happily purchase this though I would have preferred a different artwork than the FS release.

I used to be a collector of football figures and there is nothing worse then a re print of a grail that runs down the value of the original. The lesson I learned is to sell high when you get the chance cause like others have said there's always something around the corner to bring the price down. Nothing stays top value forever. Collect for the fun of it, not for the monetary value cause then you'll be stressed out and lose sight of why you started collecting in the first place.

And now...it's working. Should be fixed - this was a bug in the Vbulletin version we are on.

Now you should be able to rate all you want!

Having said that, considering everything is being released in matte right now, the quality of any re-release is going to be sub-par.

I've always noticed the finish is mostly not the same standard as the original release.

The feel to the FS version is very awesome. I don't think the zavvi release will maintain the build quality.

My same opinions are for the IM play vs FS. Regardless of the artwork difference, the feel is totally different.

Totally agree, IM Play.com is way better than the FS version

In all seriousness, Paramount always do a good job with their releases, so as far as artwork and design go, this will be the one to own in my opinion.

Well I for one am happy about this,even though I've only been a member awhile I've still collected Blu Rays inc Steelbooks since Blu Rays came out in the U.S I imported my first player and Blu Rays where £28.99 and didn't buy steels until I bought Sweeny Todd,Thor and Captain America.. But I can't afford some of the FS prices now as these were titles I never knew about until this site..I just used play and the odd one I saw so its good for new and old collectors alike..just my 2p's worth

Really nice looking steel, worst film/sequel ever. Actually walked out of the cinema depressed, never been made to feel like that after watching a film before, not seen Schindlers List so can't compare.

Meh I will satisfy both groups, I love my FS one and it will ALWAYS 'in my "collector's" eyes' be No 1 for its unique finish and blu-banner (yes blu-banner kicks some serious a$$ you noobs lol, been around this hobby/game right from day 1 so I know what I'm talking about ) BUT I will most likely end up getting this for the love of the TF franchise and this hobby, really hope Zavvi do it justice and give it the embossing/debossing treatment to match the other in the series... finally long live FS original releases :movie:

Looks as good as my Fs version, and no Blu banner even better..though that really isn't a deal breaker, as I own a few Fs banner ones and they'r just as nice The Interior artwork is unique enough..might have to double dip on this. Embossing or Debossing would make this release even more sought after..Glad they are re-doing it for new and old collectors that don't have the Fs version!
