Sold out, I have a couple on pre order, but cancellations will be available as I cancelled twice, and reordered twice, finally keeping them in the end so that 4 cancellations ... atleast!

Atleast no oversold, assuming others have done similar to take into account the the voucher!

:hilarious:If you cancelled and reordered and kept them in the end, then the ones you cancelled were reordered by you, so they won't be available.

and besides...

The ones you cancel arent available as soon as you cancel. They normally add up and go back on sale a later date.

Or atleast that is what happened for Commando and Rocketeer most recently!

And puff, gone...Wow, and with over 3 months to release EEK!

Thanks to Zavvi for giving us collectors the chance to buy this popular title and with a limited production run

I thank this forum. Its amazing at giving me heads up on releases, however its official turned me from a steelbook buyer to a now poor steelbook "collector"

If that is how their system works then that is very strange because anybody would only cancel and re-order if a steelbook is not sold out. If it was sold out, you would lose you order without the ability to place a new one. If it's not sold out, whatever you cancelled should immediately go back into preorder stock. Elseways, the first "Sold Out" announcement (like Tron 1982 today) would include all cancellations from the time the preorder went live, meaning that it is not actually sold out on the first announcement.

If there are 4,000, and say... 100 get cancelled as a result of people changing their orders and re-ordering with a new coupon or whatever, that would mean those 100 go into a sort of "side pot" on hold for a while?

Quite odd if that's true. Didn't know it worked that way. Maybe that's why their were like 70 Roger Rabbit steels on Zavvi outlet for a higher price before truly selling out. And people gave Zavvi crap about not reserving some for replacements of damaged steels.

I knew this was about to sell out. I checked out the original trailer. I just could not pull the trigger. Not that highly rated @ RottenTomatoes; neither is the sequel. I don't think I would have considered buying it if it was an amaray. No point buying them all.

I skipped this as I probably would not re-watch this particular flick, but I do hope all fans that wanted one got in on ordering-more classics please!

Luckily I had this ordered with Rocketeer & Dick Tracy. But always worry about packaging with zavvi. Black Swan and Nemo come to mind.

I know this has a fan base and was absolutely iconic and ahead of its time with graphics...i saw it only when tron legacy came out and i bought the double pack blu ray. Honestly i can watch tron legacy like dozen times, but i wont watch this ever again, as i dont think it has aged well at all...only reason i bought it was due to knowing it will be a "collectible".
