View attachment 6580In this thread, you voiced your opinion. I passed it on to all the powers that be and Hi-Def Ninja's voice seemingly has been heard.

While I cannot say they have switched from landscape (horizontal) to portrait (vertical). I can say that the quality of this batch is heading into a MORE than acceptable and reasonable solution.

There are some cheap, done horribly landscape titles out there. But there are also some magnificent must own ones as well. (Monsters, DE - Book of Eli, DE come to mind)

Here is the news that makes me excited to see what these all will look like regarding this wave. I would rather have quality made horizontal's then the exact same art from the German wave.

they may well be able to do internal artwork on these too which combined with the removable taco card with the tech specs on should give these a very polished look. There may also be some debossing on some of them too, I’m imagining the title treatment but I don’t know for sure.

I've also been given a sneak peek at one of the titles, so let me know what you think about this one and the others if given this level of art quality for the rest of the wave.

If you like, chime in with which titles you'd like to see debossing on this wave and who knows ... it might just happen.

While we don't promote bashing, it's important for our community which is a large representation of the world-wide steelbook collector community to be heard. I commend you for making the thread, and thanks to our members for voicing their opinion in a somewhat constructive manner. - It gave me ammunition.

It's nice to be a part of a community that can passionately discuss what they don't like and have those opinions actually matter and quite possibly force a change in the design process!

Not the bigest fan of landscape steelbooks but if they done to high quality like werewolf in london then i am sold that looks damm nice

Looks like I may be buying a few of these after all! I don't mind horizontal steels, as I think in some cases more of the scenery/artwork can be displayed that way (the images in the OP being a perfect example).

Thanks for the info, Wreck! I hope you continue to pass on our feedback so that they're aware of how much we appreciate their efforts etc.

PS. Debossing on them all would be nice.

I'd ask for some sort of bossing (as in emboss or deboss, although is bossing a word?) on Children of Men. And possibly Casino. Cause I want those and I'm selfish

That American Werewolf Steel is tight. I prefer the Vertical as well-but if they can do this right,these could turn out pretty nice. I'll wait to see them all, but I'm definitely considering the AW one based on the new info. Thanks!

This could turn out to be a good wave now i think we all just want to see the artwork it would be nice if a couple had embossed titles and nice inside artwork.

Very nice artwork , I'm afraid to order from play by their poor paking (received many times steelbook damaged)

Having the tagline "Beware the Moon" means that the moon must be in the artwork and it will only work in landscape/horizontal mode. In this instance, a good decision: let's hope the rest of the "wave" lives up to this one, and that this is as good in the metal as it is in the pictures.
