US Postal Service may pull out of Universal Postal Union

For those that are unaware, the US Postal Service is currently in dispute about the terminal dues assessed by the Universal Postal Union which influences how much a shipper in one country will have to pay to
have a package delivered to a recipient in another country.

That being said, there is a potential for shipping rates to rise when US sellers look to ship items outside the USA.

I'll be approaching many of my group buy participants in the coming days, as the current deadline for this issue is October 17, 2019. If there is no resolution by then, there could be service disruptions with deliveries
outside the USA.

Obviously there are a lot of unknown factors at this point and hard to say how things will play out.

all i can see are more expensive rates to EU :(

From what I've been reading, there is a potential postage increase in the new year, and then in June 2020 we might see an increase in fees (via customs) that may increase postage.

TBD, I think.
