I like it, but that's a lot of red shades going on there, could be a nightmare if this turns out glossy, will show up imperfections too much. Will probably wait to see this in hand before purchasing, i see 2001 is still in stock almost everywhere, so sales seem pretty slow of this range of late.

Potential to do something really cool here with metallic reflections to the eyes ...

... and as for the mini steel - I think each future ToC releases should have one included.

Initially I wasn't too keen on the main image but I think it's a very neat and well designed package overall.
Not necessary to have V all the time when there are alternatives out there already. TOC is taking a new approach and
providing an option that is different. V is featured here on the mini steel, and is a nice little nod to him.
Most other companies would likely have V as the main image, or something associated with him, and Evey as the lesser image.
My favourite is still the Zavvi steelbook but doing the whole 'V' thing here defeats the purpose of what TOC is about and it's clear they are trying to be innovative
and in this hobby I like that. People don't have to like it but it is what it is.

I think the black paper sleeve compliments the steel, but putting that inside a pet slip and adding another (mini) steel to the package feels a bit much for my tastes.

Just the steel in that black slip would do me fine.... (says the guy who’s not yet bought any TOC releases and may well give this a swerve)

That does look like a nice package/ design. It don’t necessarily scream V for vendetta to me but I do like it. However V should be on the back of the steel not the mini steel

Ordered it no problems. Really enjoying these releases and the fact they are all 4k is nice. So hopefully some surprises down the line. Would love if they did War of the Worlds 1953 or such gems.

Since seeing the black rose slip over portmans red steel image I’ve gone off it. Don’t think it suits it at all

and then the full box image with the mini steel at the front with the rose PET box don’t really gel either

Really? I think it looks EPIC! Probably the nicest package since the Holy Grail that was HDZ Sucker Punch.

I really like the steel and the black rose slip but not together. They just don’t suit each other in my eyes. And the PET is just the same image of the slip which is pretty pointless imo.

Hmm zeta have had better packages than sucker punch Imo. They ruined the full slip by only applying spot gloss to the title. The title looks great but the rest of the image should of had a great finish too and the back is just plain. They could of done much better

Anyone tell me what kinda box Zavvi send editions like this out in, as it clearly isn't going in the old white mailer lol?

They seal it inside their white "jiffy bag" mailer as the folks here call it.
Then the jiffy bag is sealed inside a second jiffy bag.

Since they started using 2 bags I haven't had any crushed packages or corners in Canada. There have been some spine slashes through the shrink-wrap on the outer TOC box which happens before they are ever shipped of course.
