So what do you guys think of The Watchmen? Do you plan on seeing this? I remember the first trailer I ever saw I thought this was going to be crap, but then this next trailer I saw recently made it look pretty darn good.

Don't think you will be disappointed with either the steel or film dude

My two cents (not that any of you asked! ):

- IMO it is the best steel artwork for V yet
- I've always liked the concept of the CA/bby art, but I've never been crazy about the implementation (color/finish/etc... plus I'm not a fan of art that is all or mostly symetrical)
- Both capture the mood of the film to some degree (in different ways)
- The border is the only tic against this new release

We'll see if I still feel that way once mine's in hand.

Only? no, no. The inner art is split in half and looks silly, back art is just okay and the text on the back just kills it.

I'm well aware of Germany's track record for printed backs and it does bother me.

Well, well well, the 2nd copy I ordered came with a dent and a paint chip - another cardboard envelope.

So, one goes back for a refund and the other (with lesser damage) will be a partial refund.

As a result

3:10 - cancelled
Last Stand - cancelled
Cap America - cancelled

Not worth the hassle.

Same here! Got off lucky with these - have had about 4 damaged steels in a row from Zavvi... Not liking the cardboard mailers though.

Mine also arrived today in a crappy A1 mailer... huge dent down the front edge/spine.

I've received a few steelbooks from them lately, most of which were old titles from their recent sale, and they all arrived in the thick white boxes with foam. For such a limited release such as this, I'm not sure what the hell Zavvi were thinking!

Like many of you, I'd like to return if for a replacement, but obviously that's not possible due to it now being sold out. So disappointing, especially since it's now ruined my long run of pristine condition Zavvi exclusive steels.

Mine also has arrived in a brown mailer, with severe denting on the front and warping all along the spine. Can't say how furious I am. Completely unacceptable.
