Don't hold out much hope getting mine undamaged now...zavvi should have to re run these if they were sent out in packaging that's not fit for purpose.

If Zavvi re-printed these to replace all the damaged ones that would be great customer service...but, yea...Zavvi

At least i still have my Canadian steel with the inside art, glad I held onto it

Why the inconsistency I received my last two in the normal white boxes & one in the card envelope. Do they all come from the same warehouse or is it depending on who packs them?

I am betting they ran out of boxes. They could have delayed the release and shipped in a box instead of envelopes. If I ran out of boxes I would delay shipping, but I've never ran out of boxes.

I bet the CEO doesn't even know about these things. There is no way they would reprint. That would be the worst possible thing as they already have this stated in their listing.

If the Majority of these 2500 Steelbooks arrived damaged then it would be in Zavvi best interest to arrange a replacement batch

They could the arrange only empty Steelbooks or full replacements be sent out to affected customers and arrange this free of charge as item is faulty to return the damaged steelbook

But if its only a small number of customers affected then getting a new batch made not really a feasible option except to give full refund and discount on next purchase to affected customers

I like to know when all customers get delivery how many of these arrived damaged and what type of damage
Minimal Damage just slight marking or Bad Damage as is very dented
2%
5%
10%
20%
Full Refunds given with Return of Steelbook

But if 50%/60% as that amount would be 1250 or 1500 damaged steelbooks
to me would require very affective action and get replacements made even if this meant they made a loss on the release

Mine arrived in a box so no damage in transit, however there are some minor stretching marks on the corners. By the sounds of it this seems to be an issue on almost every one to some degree or another.

Mine has that too, looks like a manufacturing issue.

These stretch marks are apparently an issue with MOST fully glossed titles as of recently. Anchorman 2 ES, Beetlejuice, Mars Attacks. Even my Robocop Futurepak from Target has them on the corners that the glossy part of the picture touches. Not sure why this has become an issue now, but I'm assuming it's a new paint/finish/drying technique that Scanavo is using.

Oh so pleased for this forum ! ... just got mine and thought .. in a brown envelope with no foam and the slightest drop/knock (as every postperson are more than capable of doing) would result in damage .. andddd ....

Both are trashed ..

Collectors steelbook .. NOT good enough packaging , for the money shocking in fact

I am betting they are rushing the manufacturing process to keep up with the demand of amount of steels that are being released. Cost cutting at its finest.

I agree, production has stepped up considerably but conversely the QA has decreased. Is it the case of a small manufacturer trying to expand too quick or a company that doesn't care as they think they can sell anything?
