the hell? mine no show today :(

Voilà! in View, a humble Vaudevillian Veteran, cast Vicariously as both Victim and Villain by the Vicissitudes of Fate. This Visage, no mere Veneer of Vanity, is a Vestige of the Vox populi, now Vacant, Vanished. However, this Valorous Visitation of a bygone Vexation stands Vivified, and has Vowed to Vanquish these Venal and Virulent Vermin Vanguarding Vice and Vouchsafing the Violently Vicious and Voracious Violation of Volition! The only Verdict is Vengeance-- a Vendetta, held as a Votive-- not in Vain, for the Value and Veracity of such shall one day Vindicate the Vigilant and the Virtuous.

Verily, this Vichyssoise of Verbiage Veers most Verbose, so let me simply add that it's my Very good honor to meet you, and I give to you UK - V for Vendetta

Excellent. reminds me i really must buy the GN asap. He's such a great writer :notworthy:

Meh....... glad I passed. The front image should have been better cropped to fit within the existing border

I'm sorry, but no.
Due to the size/colour/position of the title there were no ways of doing a better image crop leaving it on the dark background a red title needs.

I'm far away from saying it's perfect and i'll be totally happy about that once in hands, but those are the well known limits of embossing and only debossing would have worked better in this situation.

if this release had the inside artwork of the Canadian version it would have looked much better

you're right, but that's really one of the best and cool looking steelbook internal artwork imho (like the canadian 300 immortals one)

The title could easily be placed on the bottom third of the steel where the is more dark space to exploit. Either way, embossing is way overrated now due to overuse and inappropriate application most of the time. IMO, the border should always have a dual purpose of not only allowing for embossing to occur but also framing the front accordingly.

So you move the title on the third bottom and you override hand and knives, not the best looking option imho.
You could also reduce image and title, having back much more embossing problems with small serif letters easily misaligned.

You see there's too many factors when you choose the crop, in this particular situation there wouldn't have been an absolute winning choice.
We know this won't definitely be the steelbook of the year, so just enjoy the nice finish and the movie inside ;)

Agreed.

I think it looks great, it's the best Version of V for Vendetta IMO!
I Also like it I already have the white Japan steel & the normal Amaray so will probably keep this sealed for now.
Thankfully mine came in the white box & no damage as did Evil Dead 2 but received The Good The Bad & The Ugly in cardboard envelope.
