Update to Zavvi delaying tactics # 77 - finally received a reply for my Monday enquiry - about my 2 bent double vendetta & Toy Story steelbooks I received on Saturday bear in mind that this letter was sent to my email address :-

Can you please confirm your email address in order for us to arrange a free of charge Collect Plus label for you.

In other words , they send an email to my email address asking me to confirm my email address in order to send a return label to my email address - I think they are winding me up

That sounds about right. I sent them photos three times to an email address that they asked me to send to. Eventully I got an email asking me not to send photos to that address, but didn't give me an alternative address to send them to. I gave up and just sent the damaged Steelbook back and put a note on the enclosed form. The damage was obvious, as it was banana shaped.

If they don't give you a Collect+ note for V and they expect you to pay for the postage, as you have one Collect+ label, put both Steelbooks in the same box and use that label to send both together. That way you want have to pay for sending V back. They've done that to me before now. One label for one parcel to use only once. I had three to send back and they only gave me one label. I think it depends on who deals with the problem at Zavvi on whether you get a label or not?

I believe Zavvi has admitted the "Mailer" error and steels should not be shipped that way...

Just a heads up for those that got sent a 10% discount code from Zavvi - they sent me the same thing when they mistaken cancelled an order of mine (but then turned out they hadn't) and it didn't work on ANY other steelbook - even those that were in stock.

Might be different for you, as they seem to send out a unique code each time, so good luck.

It would seem the only error they have accepted is the foam not being in the mailer.

I have a feeling these are here to stay

So if this is the new packaging, does this mean when the next Steelbooks arrive damaged, we'll get another 10% off code and so on, etc.? Do the codes stack? Give it a few weeks of deliveries and we'll all have 60-70% codes to use. Who will be first to get 100% worth of codes? I bet it won't take long.

Those Large Letter boxes are fine for the UK...Oversees is another story...Yeah, charge less for the Steels, uplift in postage ex UK and improve the packaging

I got the 10% off code from Zavvi, tried using it on the TMNT pre-order and it's invalid!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at their incompetence!

Oh, I also emailed them back saying that they should give me 2 codes as I ordered 2 copies of of the steel! Let's see what they come back with...

Hmmm. Mailer with foam is new packaging. Think I will go with amazon instead. They have those special boxes used only for steelbooks. Zavvi needs to wach and learn.
