I feel your pain i have had my fair share of bad packing etc, everyone should just stop buying from them but we don't,certainly are lacking in the packing these days.Got my damaged steelbook this afternoon from the postie, for whatever reason Amazon packaged it with a far heavier item in a large box with no packaging, end result, the front is dented and has a heavy crease down one side. Now got to send it back for a refund as it's sold out.
Hopefully FAC or another company will produce a 4k edition. Really not impressed with Amazon, seems like they have stopped putting steelbooks into good well designed protectors and are happy to offset the profit of shoddy packaging against more returns... luckily they only have one or two steelbook each year that catch my eye.
Ouch! This was the response I received when I complained about their packaging earlier this year: "the packaging methods we use have typically proven over time to protect item effectively. We take full responsibility for the safe delivery of your order, and if your order is damaged in any way, we’ll replace it free of charge." But, of course, that is no good when they have sold out!Got my damaged steelbook this afternoon from the postie, for whatever reason Amazon packaged it with a far heavier item in a large box with no packaging, end result, the front is dented and has a heavy crease down one side. Does anyone know if Nova, FAC or any of the other big specialists are planning a 4k release of this film?
Admit to liking the looks of all three of these similar style Illustrated Art steelbooks . . .
LOLI admit to despising all three of these similar illustrated art steelbooks. Furthermore I hope whoever keeps drawing these loses both hands in some sort of food disposal incident.
Admit to liking the looks of all three of these similar style Illustrated Art steelbooks . . . not forgetting this VALERIAN artwork was the preferred choice of monsieur Besson himself.

US steelbook vs. ROW:
DIFFERENCES
- Main difference is obvious - the discs . . . with the US at the back of the queue when the discs were handed out . . . as in 1 x BD + 1 x DVD.
UK steelbook by contrast is fully loaded with 1 x 4K UHD + 1 x 3D + 1 x BD.
- .US steelbook appears to have more vibrant colours but to counter that the UK is more "metallic" with some really cool metallic reflections not seen on the US steelbook.
SIMILARITIES
- Both clearly very glossy and total fingerprint magnets

As for the long spine title - not quite in the same league as AUSTIN POWERS: INTERNATIONAL MAN OF MYSTERY (lol)

The 4K UHD would of had a smaller allocation of the steelbook print runMust have been a very limited release since hmv's spiderman/apes 4k+3d+2d steels never sold out on release..
maybe they only requested 4k copies?
only watched the 3D disc myself but quite like it
Tried not to compare it to Fifth Element and when I don't I rather liked it.
Wish I'd have caught it in the cinema but alas twas a blind buy (will be keeping an eye out for a steelbook at some point. Hopefully a premium edition down the line)
Its one of them films that grows on you....
.,,it was definitely made with the use of 3D in mind
Because both of you have lost your mind????Not difficult for me to see why Monsieur Besson reportedly prefers the artwork on the right . . .
