It looks like you can still get new copies of this from anywhere for $50 to $70 at some Asian sites still.
This got a universal release pretty much, it was released in a lot of Countries. I would say its worth about as much as one can find the cheapest one for ... if it has any difference in the FS one worth mentioning ... tack on $5-10 max.
I'm clearing a lot of my SB collection, keeping only the ones of the movie I really appreciated, so i'm looking for the price of thoses

Is USD$100 a fair price for this Future Shop exclusive steelbook case only? A friend of mine has one whom I am trying to convince to give to me for free
. He insists on fair market value for it which he claims is $100 with a dead serious face.

That's a pretty fair price. Could be a little lower, but I've seen it go for that price on many occasions.
Sigh, so it is fair market value for an empty case. Thanks for your help.
PS - I ran a quick check on ebay and holy molly, these babies are going for at least 30% more. Geez!

It's a very beautiful looking steelbook. The symbols on it look rad. By far the best transformers steel out there.
