Voight, order online tonight for pick up from the same store. Then go back there when you get the email to pick up. They are supposed to give it to you as they are only for store pickup when you order online.

That's what I'm going to have to do since my store has none they will most likely ship to the store and then notify my when to pick them up. It just sux that I couldn't just walk into the store like a lot of you guys and just pick and choose like you did.

AcId - soon, very soon, you can walk into your favorite Best Buy store and pick and choose the most minty steelbook. Keep the faith brother!

I was just driving home and thought about stopping by Best Buy but figured I didn't really think there was anything I wanted from there. Guess I was wrong. I placed an order for in store pickup for 4 of the titles (300 and the LOTR movies, since I don't have steelbook versions of those). I'll get them on my home tomorrow.

I thought about replacing my MeX Green Lantern, but can't really justify $25. The dent is not too bad on the one I have.

I placed an "in store" order for 24 steelbooks. My wife is out of town and near some Best Buy stores. Had I known today was the 24th, I could've ordered them and she could've picked them up while she was there. She had them bring her the box from the back storage.

It appears there were many that were damaged already. Anyways, I got what I needed to.

Anyways, she'll pick them up for me tomorrow.

Note added to OP given the variance in 'in store' pick up stories.

Yep, while I was on my computer, my wife was in the store talking to the manger(s). They called to find out when they could release them and they were told the 29th.

So, I told my wife to tell them that other people were ordering them for in store pick up and were getting them already. I then had her tell them that if I went online I could add them to my cart for in store pickup for tomorrow (which was actually today. I had my dates mixed up). So, they told her that would be fine and that she could go in tomorrow to pick them up. They let her look through the box and pick out the mint copies and set them aside for her to pick up tomorrow. They just wanted me to officially order them online so they wouldn't get in trouble.

It appears that each store is getting about 4 copies of each steelbook though. Not sure if others are getting more but they made it sound like only 4 of each. May be somewhat limited.

FINALLY!!! You rock my friend!!!
Opening them? :naughty:

That is really historical and glad it's finally happening!!! :scat:

You are too kind my friend. I am finally beginning to understand the euphoria our northern neighbors have been feeling all these years whenever a new wave of steelbooks show up :)

Opening perhaps later maybe?

Thanks Thunda for sharing your experience. Lets blow em out of the stores, by any means necessary. Whoever wants them, in the US, get 'em, send the message that we are hungry and waiting for Steels, baby!

thunda - again, the number of copies per store at the present moment varies as I saw at least 7 Clash of Titans and 10 Sucker Punch at the store I was at.

Ash, are you able to confirm that the LOTR steels are the normal theatrical version or extended?

Haven't open them yet (lots of PM to answer and pictures to upload :)) but my gut feeling is that they are the theatrical version for that price. Now that the new factory is up and running, the golden goose is going to be laying some very big eggs in the months and years ahead :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Just placed a pick-up order. The manager told me to come back tomorrow, so I'm coming back tomorrow with guns loaded, or in this case, the sales slip.
