Presskit ? Grail.
in fairness, though it sounds ridiculous press kits are often works of art. only 1000 of these exist and are hard to come by. alot of care and effort is put into creating them. and just like this steelbook, if you like watchmen you want it.
here's a description of the set.
"It consists of 12 folders inside a black slipcase with the yellow Watchmen logo on it — not unlike the ubiquitous tome Absolute Watchmen.
Each folder has a cover design that is an homage to (and often an exact duplicate) of the cover art of the original twelve issue series. The only difference is that the images are not illustrations, but photographic reproductions of their comic counterparts.
Each of these twelve folders contains a promo item of its own, so this single promo item is like twelve promo items in one — and then some."
within each folder are things like the soundtrack to the film, signed artwork, detailed timelines etc

The FS Watchmen is one of the best steels in the world , no one gives a crap for some press kit :movie:
I must say i have no interest in it, but you must remember the fact that peoples collecting habbits extend beyond steelbooks. That sounds crazy but its true

If you ask me, I think that presskit is pretty damn nice and any watchmen fan would be lucky to have it in their collection! The exact same can be said for this steelbook.
Lets not forget these forums have collectors from all over the world who are interested in many different niches. Some of you need to get of your high horse and respect that.

I don't think anyone is belittling opinions here just expressing confusion that someone would join a Steelbook forum and post in the thread of one of the most popular Steelbooks ever; that they do not understand why people like it and they should get the press kit instead. I bet the press kit is a really nice collector's set, but since we're talking Steelbooks here, it is no wonder people are a little miffed by the poster's opinion.
As a huge watchmen fan (I have both the FS and Play SBs and the ultimate version) I would love the press kit, I've been after a good one for ages
The FS SB is by far the best packaging but the ultimate version is the better film

As this thread is for the FS Steelbook and not the Press-Kit I can understand why members including myself got a bit miffed and agree with what snooloui said that we're talking about the Steelbook being a Grail here and not the Press-Kit.

I never said that, but I guess that's your way of twisting someone else's word.
I asked a question and got an answer for it. To me at least, there's not an extra value in it, but that doesn't change the fact that as a fan I would love to own a copy + the lovely journal. The current asking price is pretty high and totally unjustified and thus it eludes me me for the time being.
then, why made use of the DVD version as bait to an argument and a press kit as an excuse (or the Holy Grail). That is not raises question, confusion and arguments to other members here.

Lets just forgive & forget, all of you guys have valid points and to the OP that started this off I guess it's not entirely surprising that you got some folks backs up when you come into the blu ray steelbook forum and say its inferior for whatever reason, that came off a bit trollish!

Yeah more than likely get a open mint one for about £50-£60

I have a sealed copy but just recently bought an opened mint one as well and it cost me £65.00
