If money wasn't an object, what is your fantasy vacation you would go on?

I absolutely love the Caribbean, so I would love to go like island hopping for a month. stay at a place for like 5-7 days then fly to another island. id stay at the ritziest places too, cause they have the best food and some of the best views/locations. my wife was watching the travel channel and there was this place in jamaica where the rooms were built into a cliff edge and were insanely nice. you also could jump off your balcony right into the ocean. that would be pimp!

I've always wanted to go to the UK somewhere... like England but umm, can I ask all of you a serious question?... I have always treated everyone equally but whenever I talk to someone from another country, they either ignore me once they learn that I'm American or I always get some kind of akward comment... like recently a friend of mine was talking about how great Modern Warfare 2 was and that the battle ground is in America and that "he's surprised that we haven't had a real war here in reality"... my question is, why is our country so looked down upon?

I'm sorry if that's kind of off topic and you don't have to answer but I've gotten this so much already and I feel like if I was to visit some place I'd like, I'll get treated differently or something.

but back on topic... I'd also like to visit, Italy, Prague(Czech Republic) and Amsterdam.

Probably just cause we're always in the news, and if a war breaks out everyone wants to know what America's stance on the matter is.

Make no mistake about it, our country could be totally bankrupt but we'll still breed some bad asses who will fight for our country and train hard!

:sniper:

We have had a war here in reality... Shall we review?

American Revolution - F you King, we R AmeriCAN KICK YOUR ASS!
War of 1812 - yet another plug against the britons
Mexican-American war - alll annexes come from texasssss!!!!
Civil War - F you bro

It was pretty much after the civil war I don't remember anymore major wars on our own soil that occured.

I think it's because everyone saw how freaking messed up we can be against our own family and then shake hands and be cool with it they went, "Hey... let's not invade that country, let's just hate it and scream death to america.. they're f*cking crazy."

For all the bad that we do, we do good too... I do think we could probably take our hands out of everyone's cookie jar though.

OH WAIT, last time we tried that pearl harbor happened.

As for my ideal vacation? I'd like to take a trip around the world over the course of a year and hit every continent (probably could shorten the stay on anarctica).

we havent had a war on our soil from a foreign enemy because everyone knows not to mess with us. the only attacks come from vagabond and radical groups not associated with any country.

we control the global economy

we have the most advanced military forces (i have been told by people in the armed forces that our air force could engage and defeat the rest of the entire worlds air force, and that control over the skies would be key in any major modern war).

we basically run the show.

people hate us because they know this, and they know we know this, so they either are jealous of america for how great it is, or they think we are big headed because we know its great. sure its pretentious thought, but its the truth.

another reason people dont like us is because we get involved in a lot of other country's businesses. also, im going to venture a guess that a lot of mainland europeans don't like us because our social cultures vary so much.

but whatever, people are going to hate who they are going to hate. if they have a problem with you only because you are american, then there is something wrong with them not you. besides, i read a poll the other day that the most hated tourists were FRENCH not americans.

I must of been reading the samething too because I saw that as well.

Also, I'd like to go to Cuba, Italy and Germany.

Alright, thanks guys, certainly cleared alot of things up for me, haha... I don't know much about history as I only made it to the 9th grade, I got too weak to finish school after that and my teachers could barely speak english(which is annoying because I can't speak spanish at all)
