With this and the Amazon whinging im sure we'll all soon be happy when neither can be bothered to stock new releases due to all the moaning about EVERYTHING and then we can all whinge that there are no new steelbooks

Cant these threads keep on topic of the actual steelbook rather than the price promises, packaging etc etc so that when i log in i can actually read about the steelbook itself? Its very tedious (and yes i am aware i am moaning about moaners )

My sentiments exactly.....

So the price never did actually change?

Yes it did. On Feb 3rd the price went to £10.95 (I think it wasEur13.75) I saw it with my own two eyes and actually posted it on the price drop thread. So I don't know what they're playing at. Bottom line is, if you ordered before Feb 3rd you should be getting it at this price or they're not honouring their own policy.

I will try and find that post and reprint it here. I'm at work at the minute and on my phone.

Guys it's only £14.95 ! Give it a rest. :hilarious:

It's the priniple of the thing and a lot of people could have ordered multiple copies which would add up. On top of that it appears Zavvi is lying through their teeth to people.

What we need is a screenshot of the Zavvi page with the price drop so we can link and email Zavvi CS...:scat:

Bottom line is I got an email directly from their CS stating that the lower price (for my order at least) will be granted, if they dont there will be hell to pay!

My email too for no believers...

This was a ZAVVI reps answer to if the item had ever dropped in price.

Thanks for getting in touch about your recent order.

Please accept my apologies for the confusion around this order but I can confirm that the forum in question did incorrectly post the original message about the price of the Roger Rabbit Steelbook. This item has never been advertised at £10.95The confusion has come about as we do offer a pre-order price promise, where a customer will be charged the lowest advertised price of any product ordered before it's release date. The answer provided by my colleague was made without knowing the fact the forum had made he error.

If there's anything else we can do please don't hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

Kind regards,
Rich

Got to love all the contraditions from Zavvi.

All very confusing but if I do get charged £10.95 it'll just be a bonus

I'm more than happy with what I'm getting for £14.95 tbh. This steel does look like it's going to be a beauty

Now looks like its sold out-not sure if Zavvi will honour the price-legally they could withdraw the item from stock and re-sell if they made a price mistake-HMV used to do it all the time in store..

I hope I filled out the shipping information right. :emb:

I guess I'll find out with "who framed roger rabbit". :ohno:

I also ordered robocop, x-men, predator 2 and edwards scissorhands :scat:

I'll swap out the discs for USA versions.

i think the problem is if their "fixing" the issue a lot of us are expecting a better packaging system that is consistently being fixed and with the number of complaints STILL, it does seem like the customers are being ignored, leaving only a glimmer of hope for a release that's only a month away. I also believe and this is just my opinion, but the shipping method is also a problem, its very slow and to be honest it scares me that my roger rabbits will be in transit for 3 weeks, a month or maybe more :ohno:
