I e-mailed them a few days ago about their lowest price policy. Here is the reply I just received...

One of our customer services advisors has reviewed your query and we are able to confirm the following:

Hi,

Thanks for getting in touch about your order.

I am sorry for the delay of response, I can confirm that we will be charging our customers £14.95 as this is the lowest price on the site. Looking on the account I can see that this is how much you have been charged.

If there's anything else we can do please don't hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

Kind regards,
Aran

Zavvi.com Customer Service Team

I think this finally puts this to bed. For me anyway at least.

I just noticed on my zavvi account under message center - completed.

There is this message:

Thank you for placing your recent order with us.

For security purposes to help us proceed with your order, and as part of our on-going customer care, we would like to verify your details and require evidence of your billing address. This can be in the form of a utility bill or credit / debit card statement.

Please ensure your name and address is clearly legible and that any sensitive data is hidden before sending it to us via any of the following ways:

Did you guys have to send them proof of your billing address? Why don't they process the credit card and that will tell them it's the actual adress. I've never had to send proof when buying something. :ohno: Sounds fishy to me. Did you guys have too?

If I were you, I will ignore.

That does sound weird, but if it's part of the Zavvi site I guess it must be legit.

I don't think I've ever had an online retailer ask to provide proof of ID.

You could email them and ask?

Well they canceled my order. It's sold out now I can't get it.
I guess don't ask them questions because they will just cancel your order.

Here is the first message

WTF??? EEK! That's just plain weird and not on. What kind of address did you give them???

Is there only ONE member from the states on here who preordered Roger Rabbit from Zavvi? Surely a lot more of our counterparts in the States should be getting those e-mails then?

That's terrible news for our non-UK members. It's a right pain because it's not as if group buys can now be arranged. It's a bit of a joke really, I hope Wreck can clear it up for us.

Even the amount of complaints there getting you would think they'll be cool about it and make some changes. Thats how good companies handle there business. Evidently Zavvi doesn't fall in that category instead just go the easy way out and cancel all orders outside the UK.
