So I just started the P90X program yesterday to get in shape... I am trying to lose about 40 pounds.
Anybody else try this program yet (or need too

Got 5 more weeks to go so as many as I possibly can![]()
what are you doing after that?so wait, you're just giving up after 5 weeks?what are you doing after that?
it's a 12 week program. Not sure what I will do after. Probably go back to the gym now that I got back to a routine, which by the way is the hardest part

Woohoo just finished day 5 of P90X. The weight days are the easiest. Plyometrics and Yoga and killer. I quit Yoga because it was the same damn position every time. I decided to just do the balance part and then played 3hrs of basketball instead.
Ab Ripper X was impossible the first day, and now I can do about half the reps before my back gives out. That has always been my issue with ab exercises, the lower back is just killed. And the only way he strengthens the back in P90X is doing pull ups which I've never in my life been able to do one.
I got a knee injury three days before finishing my 90 days. Sucks...

I have a knee injury right now.. I messed it up during Bball a couple weeks back. It is on the outside of me right knee, still haven't seen a doctor yet. Probably should.
Probably should. I'm still having pain in my right ankle from a b-ball injury in high school. Never went in to get it checked cuz I thought I was "too tough" for that kind of stuff. Now I have a large bone spur and random pain.
First week was Brutal. Started 2nd week today, felt much easier. I think I need to change up the weights already, I have to do way too many reps. Can't wait for my Chest and Back to look sooo much better.
I still can't do pull ups. So I've improvised and put the dumbbells where the hands should be and push it up in the air, therefore working the same muscles hoping to build them up to do pushups. I would use a chair but with me being so tall and the door height being so small I can barely hang without my knees touching the ground.
Try getting a chair, putting it a few feet out in front of you and putting your feet outward onto the chair to help you with the pull ups. You gotta start somewhere. This should allow you to do at least a couple to start out with.
problem is I'd have to do that on my knees, which is much harder than feet, as my feet are pretty much on the ground with the pull up bar. I've tried lightly jumping, like a light push off. Didn't know which was the best way till I built up till I could do one.
I quit the Yoga video after the first one. I agree man, the same damn positions the whole time it seemed. Plus I wasn't that flexible and felt like i had no idea what I was doing during yoga.
I do like the plyometric video though. Gives a great sweat. I did walk funny for a couple days after though.

Since you were almost done.....did you feel like you saw a lot of good results?
Yes sir, I feel more energetic, I lost a lot of body fat, and gained quite a bit of muscle. It was well worth it, even though I still hate the strict diet lol
