Working Out Thread

You said you had a bad knee and you were going to a second opinion, how did that end up? careful with the plyometrics video with your bad knee. You might have to take it a bit slower.

I was cleared to go back to running. I just have to start out slow. Nothing over 1/2 mile for a week or so. I actually just got back from a run. It sucked because I don't know how to properly breathe while running, so I was lucky to make it the 1/2 mile.

A little tardy to the party. But my workout consists of

Week 1-
Monday- Leg lifts, torso lifts, Play basketball
Tuesday- Run 4 or 5 miles.
Wednesday- Upper body and Torso lifts, Play basketball
thursday- Run 4 or 5 miles.
Friday- Leg Lifts, Torso Lifts, Play basketball.

Week 2-
Monday- Upper Body, Torso, Basketball
Tuesday- Same
Wednesday- Legs, Torso, and Basketball
Thursday-same
Friday- Upper Body, Torso, and basketball.

And I'm 6'1" 170lbs

Last spring I did the same thing and dropped 30 pounds. About another month and I should be to the point where I'm dunking fairly easily.

Anybody on here use any supplements?

I am taking some that a buddy in the military was told to buy to drop weight. I can't remember the name. Taking it 30-40 minutes before every lunch and dinner.

One of our full-time guys for my unit was taking Xenadrine, and stoped taking it when he found out it can cause liver problems. Now he's taking this stuff called Jet Fuel. Looks like the same as all the other suppliments, sawdust and dirt in a capsule.

oh man that sucks, I can't remember the name though so when I get home I'll check. It helped my buddy shed pounds before he began commissioning in the Army.

Should I merge this thread with the p90x thread we have? We could change the name of the thread to I dunno workout thread or something

What are you trying to get down too? Not 30lbs off of 170 right? You'd be itty bitty. :D

I'm re-starting p90x right now as well. I gave it a go a couple months ago but couldn't find the time to commit. It's time to lose 25 pounds. I'm not going to do the diet though, except mtn. dew and coke. I did a weightloss challenge a year or so ago and lost about 17 pounds just from cutting out soda. I'm excited to see us all ripped in no time. :scat:

i need to start getting some muscle man, all this running has my cardio supermaxed out, now i gotta work on my upper body strength

I just wanna lose all the damn weight I have in my midsection. People think i weigh much less than I actually do. It all sits from the shoulders to the stomach. None anywhere else, its funky as hell.

Yeah the diet was brutal, but it helped me out a lot. I hardly eat junk food now. Helped me cut stuff that I didn't really need.
