Yea I think everything tends to be much much easier when you cut pop out of the diet. And tek I'm lookin to add 5 to 10 pounds of muscle through my upper body while staying agile at the same time.

Sounds good, gotta hold on to that agility. I remember the days when I use to have a bit of that. :(

I've got four of the discs finished so far. PM me your address and I'll see if I can send them out either tomorrow or saturday.

Done!

oh man that sucks, I can't remember the name though so when I get home I'll check. It helped my buddy shed pounds before he began commissioning in the Army.

The crazy thing is that this guy doesn't need it at all. If you can remember the name I'll pass it on to him.

Yea, I played in a Men's basketball league this winter so I had to keep up with my running. I figured I could beat half of them by just running faster and jumping higher.

im trying to get back into running shape. i hope to do some road races this summer. just finished an 8 miler today and felt like crap thru 6 then the last 2 felt pretty good. ill hit 40 miles for this week if i run tomorrow and sunday

one of these days, I hope to be able to make this kind of a statement. It's really cool to see you say that you'll hit 40 miles this week, but a little depressing when I then think that I'll hit one mile if I run today. :emb: Oh well, Dr.'s orders.

It's called Anoretix (I know somewhat of an ironic name :D) he got it from the drug store at the Navy base here in El Segundo, CA. works fine for me and definitely helped him out.

nothing to be down about if you are recovering from something. ive had my share of bang ups that kept me out of it for awhile. best thing to do is dont short yourself and take as much time as you need to get better so when you are ready to go you can really get after it.

i usually get hurt for stupid things like not stretching after runs and then i end up getting tendinitis somewhere. its the little things that make big differences for running.

That's the one ;) you might find it cheaper off since you are part of the armed forces no?

Probably. It really cracks me up how there is a GNC on almost every military installation. Doesn't hurt that they give an automatic 10 or 15% discount (I think). I haven't gone to a GNC for myself in years.

I do know that the Gamestop at Ft. Leonard Wood here in MO, gives an automatic discount! :scat:

Just so everyone knows; the scientific studies regarding the ingredients in Anoretix are highly misleading.

I found the studies that the Anoretix website refers to, analyzed them, and found some interesting information. Anoretix consists of aproprietary blend of 8 out of their 9 patented weight loss ingredients. This blend of ingredients is 1,540mg dose taken twice a day, meaning 3,080mg daily. While the website gives you a bunch of "facts" about how amazing the ingredients are, it doesn't mention the fact that Anoretix contains nowhere near the same dosage levels as the scientific studies. For example, the study of Super CitriMax had participants taking 4,666mg daily providing 2,800 mg of HCA. This was taken in three divided doses. (about 1,555mg 30-60 minutes before breakfast, lunch, and dinner). As you can see, the daily dosage of Super Citrimax alone is greater than that of the Anoretix proprietary blend, which contains 8 of the 9 ingredients. This is basically the same for the other studies that I looked at. The clinical trial supplement dosages are very high while the Anoretix fat loss ingredients contain low dosages not comparable to the clinical trials that they write about on their website. Tonalin CLA is another ingredient in the Anoretix blend and the optimal dose has been shown in clinical studies to be 3,200mg, but Anoretix can't match that either.

Overall, I just wanted to let you guys know a little more about the science of the matter before you go out and spend your money on this supplement. For myself, I skip the fat loss supplements and just lift weights, do moderate cardio, and make sure that I am in a caloric deficit for the day/week. As long as you are burning more calories than you consume, you will lose weight. Thermodynamics 101:scat:

if you asked a doctor there is no way they would recommend any of these types of products for muscle building or weight loss. None of them can be regulated by the FDA so unless they are blatantly and completely lying about their product the government can't do anything about it. there was one company that advertised their product contained human growth hormone to get people to buy it, but it didnt and the government nabbed them.

there is NO substitute for diet and exercise to lose weight and get healthy. it is actually the ONLY cure for diseases like type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome. yes, cure as in will cure the disease, i dont have diabetes anymore. problem is that either people don't want to do the work, or they physically cant. they either just want a pill they can take that allows them to just get by because they dont want to give up their lifestyles, or they have gained too much weight and just getting out of bed or rolling over is a physical strain for them. if you've ever seen someone morbidly obese (im talking super fat) it takes effort for them just to lift their chest wall to breath. can you really expect them to start running 30 minutes a day?

its people's choice as to how they want to live their life. if they have T2DM and are fine taking metformin for the rest of their life, you can't really say no. it just sucks when diabetes and related syndromes alone cost the health care system billions and billions of dollars, and there is a cure for it yet most people turn it down. the other problem with it is that people dont view diabetes as a killer like say with cancer, so they don't take it as seriously.

anyways, rant over.

Thermodynamics???

yah, i struggled with this one too :giggle: maybe heat = work?
