I made a valid point about the chips on this steelbook. The last two Steelbooks I have had have had chips and slashes. The Place beyond the pines with it's silver disguised it enough not to matter, and the small chips on the Jungle Book were fairly camouflaged by the green, there is no hiding when it comes to black as I found with previous black covers.

The back of this one matches perfectly with the front of the BF edition. Too bad if I made a hybrid the inside wouldn't match. If this does have embossing that give a pixelation effect with a gloss finish then it could definitely give BF a run for its money....Literally lol. Zavvi making this announcement at this particular time was a calculated business decision for sure lol

agreed
if this had the embossing, it will give it a particularly good looking effect. With zavvis rep and the disney titles they have released, it seems within the realm of possibility

Bluprint, love all thing's retro. As a ninja in training, I honed my skills over many a long hour playing Bruce Lee, on my beloved Spectrum 48K.

:D "Don't think. FEEL." :D

Overall I like the artwork on this one better than the blufans version. The inside of this looks fantastic. But I do wish they would have gone with a better front cover. Where's King Candy?... and Fix-It Felix... and Calhoun (the lady)?

I will definitely buy this, but there are so many fun characters in this movie that deserve a place in the artwork on the cover in my opinion. The movie too rich with imagery to use up a cover with that digital face icon of Ralph.

Some Front Cover Possibilities
