I know that some people would have preferred Zavvi's original artwork. But I don't think anybody can deny that this is a very unique looking steelbook, whether one likes it or not. This might just turn out to be one of the most sought after Wreck-it-Ralph steel out there.

To the dude above. Don't push your luck. Seriously. They've listened and made an excellent decision in changing the back art. Chalk this a victory. Celebrate that it's happened but don't now treat them like our 'bitches.'

If any steelbook needed to be full gloss it's this one. If they print it with spot gloss on a matt black background, like 'First Blood', it will look terrible.

I agree. I liked the design on First Blood, but matt background was definitely not the best choice.

That said, I love the fact that both the back and front of this steel is black (let it be gloss), just like in the real 8-bit worlds. It really fits the colours I think.

Boba I think a complimentary copy is the least Zavvi could do for you. I placed an order for a second copy as soon as Wreck confirmed the change.
Thanks to your mock-up, we have ended up with a glorious 8-bit beauty.

Now why don't we try and get those windows de-bossed as well.

Seriously, even though you don't like the change in this instance, you have to admit that it is right to go with the majority. Personally I think it looks much better now, though I don't think they need to change the interior artwork. I'm glad that if enough collectors suggest a better alternative that retailers/studios are willing to listen and give us what we want

Hopefully this means they'll starting including rightful bonus Blu-ray disc(s).
The Little Mermaid for example needs its 3D disc to complete the package.

I wouldn't hold your breath about 3D discs. It would be nice if it was included so I had the choice of whether or not to watch it in 3D.

hey "dude below"! welcome to HDN. I actually proposed the interior art change long before they agreed to change the back. It's post #198 of this thread.

I am not trying to make Zavvi anybody's *****. It's just that WIR is full of awesome characters and this steelbook doesn't show ANY of them. (unless you count 80s arcade quality graphics, which is not what they look like in the movie of course)

I like the change made to the rear cover. I do really wish they included the 3D disc, though.
