Those Zavvi codes are really unreliable. Sometimes they work and sometimes the don't, despite the fact that I've chosen elegible items and the code is still active. Just a warning folks, in case you consider cancelling your original orders before checking if the code works. I almost did, but luckily I managed to outsmart myself (not too hard that one :naughty:)

My gut's telling me this'll probably be matte which'll be horrible. Even spott gloss with a black matte background will just being asking for chips... May just cancel my double order and get one copy instead of potentially being ****ed over. If this one was actually Pixar (yeah, I know Disney owns Pixar!), there'd be a chance of it being full gloss... but what Disney release (from Zavvi) has had a full gloss treatment yet? Seriously, major pass if this is only a semi-gloss release. Extremely surprised that I seem to be the minority... Especially since I've only gotten into this hobby about a month ago and I've already realized how matte black steels suck balls.

but wait a sec. the previous "deal' was price was 22.99 minus 3gbp coupon put the price at 19.99. since it's still preorder, does that mean zavvi will honor the 3 gbp off and put the price at 16.99 gbp?

i doubt it, would be great if they did

ok so say someone ordered 3 at the previous deal price of 19.99 + .99 shipping for a total of 20.98 per steelbook order.

3 x £20.98 is £62.97.

it's better to cancel those 3 orders and reorder now with the £5 off £50 code.

19.99 x 3 = 59.97 - 5 = 54.97 + .99 = £55.96 (vs £62.97). that's a very significant difference.

Indeed. I don't think Zavvi's pre-order policy covers orders made with discount codes, so it's best to re-order at the new price if possible.

Aladdin was full gloss wasn't it?

this back is really better than actual hope they changed for this:LOL:

Yes, let's ask Zavvi to change the current backart for the previous one, I'm sure they'll understand :D.

:rofl::rofl:

Zavvi is taking so much crap from so many people, and they're not flawless, but I sure am happy with their Disney/Pixar steels so far :) (minus Monsters University I guess, but that's not just them). Perhaps it's because I've never had any issues with them thus far, nothing bent, slashed or lost, but I'm not biased against them, and I'm confident this WIR steelbook has a fairly decent chance to be glossy :) (at least Ralph's face will be).

Besides, BluFans and Kimchi, for their 4-5 yearly releases (releasing 8 times the same movie counts as one release :D), as much as some of them are awesome, despite the very high price we pay, they have manage to screw up on a large scale — literally no one here that opened their BluFans Wreck-It Ralph got a mint one ; many technical issues with Kimchi and their Monsters, Inc steel, other than the art being vastly inferior to Zavvi's, which will be twice cheaper and without the risk of custom charges. But taking jabs at the big company (Zavvi) that churns out 50 exclusives a year is much easier, because it's not fair to criticize the little guys.

I was going to ask that question.
As we have used a HDN code then could HDN ask Zavvi this?
I thought that if the price drops then they honour the change before release
What to do:ohno:
