I'm working late this week so my girlfriend went and picked this up. She felt really bad when I opened it this evening and there were two little dents on the back that were covered by the J card. It's not bad enough for me to exchange but it's annoying, HMV is the only steelbook retailer I've had issues with since I started collecting

Just caved in and bought the HMV one despite having the Czech one on the way...I hate myself sometimes

I still went and collected my HMV one despite having the Czech one on order! Will pick the best one and sell the other. Would give it to my girlfriend’s son but she doesn’t want me giving him anymore SteelBooks, I have the 4 Transformers for his birthday, as he could easily become as addicted as myself!!

Also got the Czech one on its way, but picked this up as it was different artwork! Now I have it in hand, I'm unsure which I'll prefer so have just accepted the fact I'll keep both!

Have you tried popping the back off and pushing the dents out with a cotton bud? I've done it before, works sometimes

@BradG1984 - thanks dude, it made the little dink 90% better. It's at the back and now very tiny. My OCD monster can deal with it!

I opened 2 in store, that had similar issues and some had lots of hair line scratches. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it looks as though these were damaged in the factory, not at HMV

Mine is now standing nicely next to its korean cousin. Quite possibly my two favourite X-Men steelbooks. The original trilogy especially leave much to be desired.

Oh I hate myself more. I bought the Korean one then went on German steelbook group buy for the lenticular not knowing the writing was in German and I then signed up for the HMV group Buy. I'm just praying it is mint because it seems like a lot of these came damaged.

You really need to buy lots from Zavvi and Amazon, especially the latter now they've taken to sending Steelbooks out in A1 mailers . . . .

I had pretty much a stand up row with the guy in the Stevenage HMV branch about changing a steel for the second time. The discs are fine sir he said your missing the point of steelbooks i said. HMV exclusives will be the only reason for buying steels from them again

I put down my deposit several weeks ago to have my copy kept aside, went in yesterday to HMV Belfast to collect it only to be told that they didn't have enough and might have more by the weekend. This kind of defeats the purpose of preordering. So damn annoyed

Had a ordeal in Stevenage hmv today! Went to collect my pre order from behind the till!! Firstly the lady told
Me it wasn't even out yet as I presented my deposit slip!' Then she found them on the shelf right behind her picked each one up looking for my order no. (As she picked each one up she was bashing them on the corner of the shelf) she finds mine and I pay!! I walk out and open...my god the back looks like wolverine himself has wiped his backside with it as there are paint slashes everywhere...I take it back and ask for a replacement to which a now male looks angry about but does anyway.... I get to the car and open it much better but still a tiny mark but on the whole 150 times better than the one reserves for me! I cover it with a tiny bit of sharpie. I can rest easy.

Agreed, you would think that would sent in enough copies to fufil pre-orders. It's not exactly rocket science, my copy even had my name stickered on it.

Was also surprised that both disks have print, the last 3d steelbook I got came with the bland blue 2d amaray: so pleasant change of pace
