Hard to imagine Sony releasing an US steelbook with embossing/debossing but if they do, this would be the perfect candidate.

In between a long business trip to the east coast, took a small detour to the Big Apple, went to grab tickets for The Heiress but were sold out for the weekend. But found a group of autograph seekers hanging out by the actors exit and boom! 2 for 1 when both of them walked out after the show. All hell broke loose but both ladies stayed and signed for everyone there. I wanted Jessica to put that MoFo quote down and also take a picture but I couldn't impose on them anymore. They are super awesome super celebrities

Not sure if that qualified as bad ass hahaha but it sure was considered crazy by many of my friends. And it definitely was fun for sure.

To keep this on topic, two local Best Buy stores told me their allotment were cut in half this week for release day. Since this is the only steelbook release for ZD30 worldwide, I advise folks waiting to pick this up in store on release day to go in this weekend and pre-order with a $5 deposit to secure a copy. Depending on the store, I was told the holding priority for pre-orders is in store with receipt (make sure they take your name down) and then online orders for in store pickup. That is how some stores don't even have any to put out on the shelves on release day because their entire allotment went to pre-orders. If your favorite BB store always have stock on release day, then you will have a better chance than most. Just a friendly heads-up....

There are quite a few Best Buy stores in NY city, just make sure you pre-order from a store that will be getting this steelbook on release day. They can check that on their computers. And you will only need your receipt and a picture ID to pick up your order regardless of your citizenship. Good luck and have fun out there!

Do I go to the Service Desk and ask about the $5 deposit? Or is there a piece of paper that I bring them up for the reserve? What number should I give them? Knowing bestbuy, they are probably clueless in what I'm reserving LOL.

I'm going to risk it and check on release day if there are copies on the shelf. The last time I reserved something it was damaged. They don't know how to handle a Steelbook.

May-yes, it can be a little challenging sometimes-sometimes they don't even know there is a separate sku, but I have found, that many times the system itself is not updated on release date-I have been in store numerous times only to find out that corporate did not send the info to stores, regarding skus, and hence the employees were not aware when the store opened. A lot of factors come into play, but at the risk of turning this thread into another 'What's wrong at BB', lets hope that things go smoother as the Steelbooks increase in frequency, so it's not like trying find water in the desert this time around
