Hey guys, you can always contact Bert via the site. He is usually very responsive. Enjoy your Steels!

What really, I didn't think bert shipped steels like that he's always used boxes and bubble wrap?

yes really! thin cardboard envelope, polystyrene strips placed arount the edges to stop it rattling around in the envelope, fair enough, but no padding whatsoever to protect the front or rear of the steelbook!!
managed to remove the dents but still far from happy!!

leelee, best to grab pictures of the damage and get in touch with Bert. He is a great guy to deal with and see what he is willing to do for you. Good luck.

Same as mine, but without the dents.

However, Bert has some great advocates on HDN, so hopefully these were a few "one off's"

I thought that too, I know its been a while since I bought my copy of Tintin from him but at the time he offered a 'best steelbook option' shipping in a box for a few more euros which I chose. Looking at the shipping rates on the site now it seems to have changed ..to the UK its now

1 item bubble envelope (BluRay) or cardboard sleeve (Steelbook) 5 euros/10.50 tracked
2 items bubble envelope (BluRay) or cardboard sleeve (Steelbook) 7.80 euros/10.50 tracked
3-10 items cardboard box 15 euros tracked and traced
10+ items cardboard box 22.50 euros tracked and traced

so it seems the only option now of shipping in a box is an order of 3 or more items. Maybe the shipping rates have risen causing him to rework his shipping prices and packaging?

Mine has just come in a cardboard mailer, fortunately looks ok but this is not good enough from bert. He's better than that normally I've always had boxes and bubble wrap before may have to rethink using bert in future if this is whats happening.

not just me then......
having second thoughts about using him again myself. he's asked me to send him a photo, however, the damage has been repaired, but i responded expressing my concerns regarding the shoddy packaging in the hope he reviews his mailing methods.

I received mine today. Was in a card envelope, luckily it is in mint condition.

Those of you that received it in bubble wrap/boxed, was ZDT the only item you ordered? Did you have tracked or basic delivery? ZDT was all I ordered, with basic delivery. There's 4/5 others I would like, having second thoughts of ordering from him now.
