Folks, take the trading chatter to pms and out of release threads. All systems can be circumvented. It's not like there are not people who sign up with multiple accounts at retailer sites to get around minimums, or make up bogus names and send to other people in group buys. Our group buys have always been intended to allow our members to obtain collectibles, when either they are not available to order themselves from the retailer at the 'live' time, or they are afraid they won't get one in time. It's a service that several folks spend hours of their days accommodating, shipping 100's of packages worldwide, and it's not a given that it is offered. The small fee charged by HDN for participating in group buys goes into operations costs of running the site, as well as our events, site upgrades, new features, giveaways, etc. It's also reasonable given that people are able to sell their items here 'because' the community has been built for years here. The fee is miniscule in comparison to what some charge on their own/on other sites, and significantly less than what you would ever pay on Ebay (sans a few exceptions).

There are always "outside of system" exceptions that are made behind the scenes for some sellers/buyers. It's just the way it is, there is no way to police that, and it's a free market. Except for the times where you catch bargains on Ebay, or the marketplace is flooded, causing prices to crash, or some other reasons, member trading (when prices are reasonable), or participating in group buys are some of the cheapest ways to get collectibles when they are FIRST released.

Alarm woke me at 00:57 this morning, turned it off, switched the light on and duly fell back to sleep for 10 minutes only to find 1/4 had sold out, glad I joined Johns GB for the Pet

The only real complaint I have and it applies to Kimchi and Nova as well is that the limit the sets to 1 each and same for the individuals for the first 24 hours. If people really want more they can use multiple accounts or if available after 24 hours get another. This to me is the best for your customers. The sites themselves don't lose much with putting a limit of 1 per order, they will still sell out no matter what. The customers do get hurt though as can be see here. There are many people that tried immediately to get in on either of the packs but were denied.

Keep in mind I have no knowledge of how many people ordered 2, that though really has never crossed my mind to do so and maybe only a handful did. I like to get just my copy and no extra because as a collector I know how much it sucks when you lose out.

For anyone that missed out on this and has that $130 burning a hole in their pocket. There are children starving out there and in desperate need of clothes, food, medicine.
Give it to a charity that really needs it and can make a small difference to a childs life who cannot help themselves.
Help them and also make yourself feel better at the same time....;)

Just saying...!!! :D

Well, in a way I hope I helped at least one Ninja obtain one of these editions, as I decided to bail out of this, already seen the film on Netflix, and just couldn't bring myself to buying this, even thought the 1/4 lenti looked like the one I would have gone for. Congrats to all those who got what they wanted.

'If you snooze you lose' missed preorder I have always accepted. Missing out the second this went live is the first I ever come across and obviously others like me are understandably going to be pretty peed off as we were never late or even a second late.

After this dilemma I had to settle with what was left, the full slip, as it was pretty much the only thing available anyway. I don't dislike the full slip, just would had preferred the full PET. Well after all I may even like this when it comes. But I'm never going to give in to silly prices from scalpers.

You win some lose some. Today I guest I lost on this occasion. Or should I say just unlucky.

I didn't go for this due to lack of funds but if I did this would have been my preference...

2. 1/4 PET Lenti
3. PET Full Slip
4. Paper Full Slip.

Of course there is an element of greed. If greed is ' to acquire or possess more than one needs,' then the one click option is really just greedy. Especially when it prevents others from having their 'fair share.'

I mean, one could purchase all four editions and perhaps never intend to take them out of the box in order to maximize profitability- they wont even be seen or enjoyed. While another who loves the film can not even own the one edition they wanted.

But this will always be a problem, people will always be greedy.

I've not well understood, for example the one who he bought a quadruple-pack could also buy a triple pack and one copy of each edition ? o_O
In the description for each set and individual release this was posted. You might be able to get 2 quads and 2 triples and 2 of each actually. Not sure as I didn't try purchase that many at checkout.

* Order limit : 2 sets during the 1st day(24hours)

It's sad that folk haven't been able to order this. After my PET Slip went through OK and read that folk were unable to order the tri packs I decided to see if there was an issue ordering the Tri-pack. I was actually able to order one, however I cancelled at the last moment. I used safari on my MBP. This was quite some time after many were reporting it as being sold out.
