I am one of those who started collecting Blu Ray Steelbooks more recently.

I bid a couple of times for sealed copies of Zombieland on ebay but was never successful as I was not prepared to pay the big bucks. I am glad I stuck to my guns because I will be just as happy with the Play.com version as I would be with the original German version. Thank you Play.com!:scat:

I have been trying to get a German Zombieland SteelBook for months (My #1 Want), but I decided that I wasn't going to have one in my collection, as I refuse to pay the high prices being asked for it.

Now this! Thank you Play. Looking forward to seeing the artwork :oohyeah:

Depends on artwork. I like the German edition (still need to get it though). I'm not a fan of the group poster, especially if they use it for the cover.

Play is just pumping steelbook out after steelbook. Talk about milking the cash cow. How many Sony steelbook re-releases are out there? I know Underworld was mentioned previously, but what else?

I didn't see this one coming lol. Hopefully it will have better inside artwork this time round.

The german release is in my top 5 steels and took me ages to track one down for a reasonable price. I still hope this is an improvement though, no point relasing a poorer version

Love my German Steelbook which was a day one purchase for me, will I be getting this??, hell yeah but no matter what happens even IF Play.com's one turn out to be identical to it (cause let's face it nothing is safe any more as everything is getting reprinted that's just how things are), the German release will ALWAYS be superior as it was released first and will always have a special spot in collectors hearts just like Iron Man FS/Play.com ;)

play .com stop stop stop if you release one more steelbook i will kill my self ahhhhh :shoot:

but to be honest with u i am really happy :rasta:
EEK!

Its right, PLAY are giving people what they want, steelbooks are not collectable for value.

And this serves some people right, those who buy multiple copies to keep sealed. Watch the film!, buy the film if you think its good, or like the steelbook cover, but to buy multiple copies to keep sealed, thats sad, thinking theyve got a commodity. Well, good on PLAY re-releasing this "rarer" titles, just hope they limit the copies to 1 or 2 per customer.

...And the first people to post and moan on this thread, yeap, those who have the DEU version. Shouldnt have spent silly money on ity, shouldnt have kept it sealed, and shouldve just bought 1 to watch

It's not sad. People collect for different reasons. Just because you don't share the same viewpoint as other, doesn't give you the right to insult other people. There are better ways to post your opinion than insulting other members. By the way, I don't own Zombieland DE or any of the rarer Steelbooks, so i'm glad to see this release too.

Play.com is awesome. I was just about to pay 176 USD for a copy of the german one until i stumbled on this thread. How can you get a copy of this if you live in US? Will there be a group buy for this?
