4K UHD Blu-ray Slipcover Discussion Thread

4K UHD Blu-ray is becoming a larger thing now and along with it comes many new, cool-looking slipcovers. Use this thread to discuss the slipcovers on the 4K Blu-ray releases, no matter which country.

This is to only talk about the slipcovers on the 4K releases. If you'd like to actually discuss the releases themselves, please head to the Blu-ray & 4K UHD Disc section instead.

No haul photo, but I just have to say, I absolutely love the 4K slipcovers that Universal is putting out in North America. The rounded corners and glossy photo-finish covers are extremely unique and clean-looking. I'll definitely be adding some to my shelf in the future!

Some releases still come with 3D discs, but very rarely is there a release that has both a 4K and 3D disc. I think the only exception has been The Angry Birds Movie.

It sucks Canada doesnt get all those 4K slipcovers. I've only seen Lucy and Oblivion in stores from that list.

The Shallows ... the world's first lenticular slipcover for a 4K Blu-ray. That's pretty cool. I love that Oblivion, too. I'm curious to whether or not the UK release for Oblivion will have the same style of slipcover.

Truthfully, we've been very unlucky with slipcovers lately. It's a good thing we have eOne or else we'd rarely get a decent slipcover.

Apparently, only Identity and Jason Bourne are actual 4K. Others are upscales with HDR.

And I have a feeling Canada will miss out on the slips. Or we'll get one or two of them with slips and others without.

Initial UHD reviews seems to be positive. Apparently it was well done even though it was sourced from 2K, especially the HDR.
I'm thinking of picking it up too. Lucky you guys though. I can only hope WB will do some justice to Matrix
