Can't really compare it with the old one (since I don't have it) but I'm satisfied with my purchase.

I got it yesterday:



The steelbook has nice spotglossing and even nicer debossing...



an excellent interior print...



... but overall, I like the Play.com edition from 2012 better. In hand it feels better (i.e. sturdier), too.

If I had to choose again, I'd not buy it (yet), but wait for a price drop. If it went OOS before that, I could easily live with missing out on this steelbook. But I don't think it well sell out before a price drop, so I suggest you may want to hold your horses if you're not yet decided.

Just my humble opinion.
