Can anyone say if this is region free or region B?
Thanks. It's hard to trust what resellers put as the region. Amazon says B while Zavvi says free, that's why I ask. With a small studio like Platform Ent, this is likely region locked to B (remember that Anchor Bay in the USA locks their side to A)
No subs on these discs
When one's native tongue isn't English, no matter how fluent one is in English, subtitles are a life-saver when the dialogue involves dialects, accents, whispering, mumbling, etc.I see this comment a lot about this release. I'm curious why this is such a deal breaker for people.
Personally, I never use or need subs unless it's in a language other than english. But I don't have a problem understanding most accents.

Coming from a relatively "small" language (Finnish), I was practically born reading subtitles, and reading them is as simple as breathing. I'm forever glad we don't get dubbing for foreign films or TV shows, except for kids' stuff.
When I can't make out what is being said, that can be a major distraction and ruins the immersion as I rewind or just keep going on, having potentially missed something crucial.
Having English subtitles saves me from that
