I hope Mondo will do a steelbook for Westworld, like they did with True Detective As it is also an HBO show, I hope they'll be able to ^^ I'm sure there's enough artists out there to make an awesome release !

Are they even doing steelbooks anymore? Reports have sounded like they threw in the towel on the Mondo X Line. There have been no rumblings of any new ones.

Yeah I saw Kevin from the other forum saying the Mondo X Steelbooks line was about to end.. but I hope it's not true ! Mondo have so many great prints which could make beautiful steelbook releases !

Even if Mondo X line comes to an end i'm sure there will be mondo steelbooks afterwards. Just like how there were mondo steelbooks before Mondo X line.

True. But the nice thing about the Mondo X line, was they were/are reasonably priced! (With the exception of the Blufans release.).

I know right? I wish more started doing that. Focus on bare steelbook art and finish while also being reasonably priced. (except BF of course )

And HBO actually reached out to Mondo for the steelbooks ! But it didn't happen

I saw this sentence in a Collider article about MondoCon:
"One of the biggest gasps came when Mondo unveiled progress pics for the Game of Thrones steelbooks." This makes me think that we will see GoT in the Mondo X line!! It sounds like they are still a work in progress, or are you saying that they were cancelled?? I really hope not!

@JCC I think a GoT steel would be more like the True Detective steelbook with Mondo art but not in the Mondo X line. But yeah, they were showing art from cancelled projects.

No they are cancelled ! The two swhorunners didn't want drawings of their characters on a steelbook. So just like that, even though everyone at HBO was on board, they shut the project down ! So we'll never see the light of these ones. They got replaced with the GoT steelbooks that are beeing currently released... Even though it was HBO that got in touch with Mondo in the first place to ask them for some steelbooks !!
