I'll be interested to see what the picture quality is like. The laserdisc is superb. The DVD and blu-ray not so much....

Given this is going to be a StudioCanal release here in the UK, I'm wondering if it'll basically be the same Steelbook as the US or if they'll do something along the lines of their John Carpenter releases?
I really want to get the US disc because I'm so bloody impatient but also don't want to end up double dipping because I couldn't hang fire.

It won't. I was corrected a few weeks back that the rights over here have reverted back to paramount now too.
