Lol, if we go by that mentality, why even collect. Just stick to buying the blu ray disc and keep it in a disc wallet.
Don't know about you, but the only reason i'm spending silly amounts of money is for all the artwork that comes with the film I like.
The main reason I avoid paying stupid money to go the cinema to get my viewing spoiled by prats around me.
I think it reflects the movie. Would you rather they covered it in skulls an laser beams like a bronie Affliction shirt for the sake of it?
I would expect more than the same design front and back, just with the title overlaid. And not even decent inside art to offset it. After the excellent Skyfall steelbook I expected better. Especially with all the Day of the Dead iconography to fall back on.
Impossible that this was not going to happen.
The 9 steels recently released in homage to SPECTRE were all leading up to this one.
But I'll ask again to nobody in particular "Why no Dr. No steelbook ?" to make 11 SPECTRE directly-related steelbooks.
Artwork TBC, I know, but thank heavens anyway for no bullet coming out of the "C" . . . LOL
Would personally hope to see this as a Zavvi exclusive if only for it to be bundled with the remaining 7/8 at a decent price . . . I can but hope

Clearly I didn't express my preference well as any mention of a ZBOX in the same breath as a James Bond bundle is a big no-no.

What I would prefer is for the upcoming (10) SPECTRE (2015) steelbook (with a 22 / 2 / 19 release date ?) to be a Zavvi exclusive in order for it to be bundled in a mini collection with the other 7 with 2,000 print runs (in the same way that Zavvi bundled the "Star Wars" steelbooks for example) :-
(1) FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE (1963)
(2) THUNDERBALL (1965)
(3) YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE (1967)
(4) ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE (1969)
(5) DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER (1971)
(6) FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (1981)
(7) CASINO ROYALE (2006)
If they wish to increase the print runs of (8) QUANTUM OF SOLACE (2008) and (9) SKYFALL (2012) - from 1,000 each to 2,000 each then that would suit me just fine and then ALL 10 JB steelbooks could be offered in a bundle for say GBP 109.99.
SPECTRE offered as an Amazon exclusive would also be fine but as I'm neither a fan of Amazon's steelbook pricing nor of their steelbook packaging I'd prefer it to come from Zavvi for reasons described above and I would buy into the complete collection bundle if it was offered at the 'right' price.
Of course, it would have been the icing on the cake to have DR. NO as part of the collection but never mind "Que sera, sera."

Not interested in this. Skyfall was a much better movie IMO, this is just decent and I probably won't watch it again
I was hoping for Bond's skull mask to be featured somewhere on the steelbook
With Amazon it's worth pre-ordering (and cancelling nearer release date if you change your mind) as they apply any price drop up to release date automatically. Unlike Zavvi's price promise, where you have to tell them that the price fell after you placed your order. I've benefitted several times where the price has dropped after ordering, but then went back up again before release. Unless I was checking every day, I would never have known about it.
