I also customize my steelbook when it arrives. Mine will include T-1000 as inside artwork.
Can you point me in the right direction to the modding thread please? Can't find it anywhere, and I desperately want to mod the crap out of this steelbook and give it the treatment it deserves! Thanks in advance

Many thanks to Paul, I wouldn't had remember where the thread was. I have only changed the inside artworks before, but never created spine text for any steelbook.

Now that a U.K. blank spine has been confirmed with in-hand pics by @pyszny I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise to @lolwut and to anybody else offended by my comments regarding the possibility that this would be released with a blank spine - even blanker in fact than 'MJ 1' - with no studio or Blu-ray logos.

Thanks for the apology, good man. Although now you might owe an apology to others for your recent comments

My annoyance is that i'm gonna have to keep this piece of crap because i've been collecting Terminator editions fo a while now. I'm not sure i will even want to put it on the shelf. I will always resent it and wish it didn't exist.

This was quite expensive for something that offers almost nothing new or improved. Shame on you StudioCanal, or Zavvi, or whoever is to blame for this abomination.

That's what they were counting on!

I would like to see a Steelbook with the original poster artwork instead of endless variations of endoskull artwork.

Yes, why is that so hard???

Totally agree, considering this film contained four of the most iconic characters from action film history, it would be nice to see a character based steelbook IMO....

I'd love a steelbook with this art, minus the french of course.

There's so many steelbook versions of T2 that do so many things wrong:
UK Skynet edition - fat endoskeleton, HORRID font, lack of 'Judgement Day' on the spine, no inside art
UK Zavvi edition - no 'Judgment Day' no spine art no inside art
Canada - awesome flaming 'mean' endo but horrid missmatched font, no inside art
Kimchi - best steelbook to date but still the 'fat' endo, T2 shortened on the spine
Japan - I really like this one but it's too bloody expensive haha

There's a perfect T2 steelbook out there somewhere....

Have to admit that my current favourites are the ones you left off your list - the two Mondos :)

Tempted too but of course these will not match 'T1' and 'T3' or the upcoming 'Genisys' U.K. steelbooks.

Returned the U.K 'T2' if only for the blank spine issue despite liking the artwork - it's all most unfortunate !!

Regarding the Mondos - these should form a separate collection IMO because they are so beautiful and different to standard steelbook artwork though I'm afraid to go there as it would be a slippery slope for me and I'd end up having to buy all of them or at least all those I could find at 'sensible' prices.

I've noticed some Canadian sellers on eBay sell them for extremely reasonable prices, FYI.

I want to comment on the steel - but I'll be saying the same thing that's been said a million times before. What amazes me is we're pretty far on with steelbook collecting, and both studios and guys like Zaavi know should know exactly what works, and what doesn't. We've had countless iterations of embossing, de bossing, borders, finishes etc and I'm sure they're all looking at the specialist distributors and how they make a standard release exceptional. Clearly it's just a case of using the release of Genesis (nope, not spelling it the way future humans spell it), to move some discs.

It is what it is... just always got this feeling that I'm treated as a mentalist cash cow ready to buy something the second they vomit some pop culture icons onto a metal case.

That's pretty much how it should of been. Such a shame you have had to finish the steelbook off.

This was the first time I did custom steelbook and to me Arnold with a bike is something I have always loved. I also wanted to use better image of T-1000, but I couldn't find the right image I wanted and match it color wisely with the left side. So ended up with idea seeing the cast when removing the disc. Blank spine next to other Terminator steelbooks in shelf looked really odd, so had to do it ofcourse. By the way, interesting to see how Filmarena Terminator 2 will be like eventually.

If they release one. I don't recall them having studio canal releases in their collection.

Is the inside art just printed on normal paper?
